My cat became completely infested with fleas... so yes I know that my house is already infested along with my cat... so I purchased Revolution flea treatment... I heard that it pretty much starts working right away... but how quickly is that? When should I start seeing the fleas on my cat die? I understand that the fleas on my cat will die first, but the ones still in the house will take a little while to die off... but when should I start seeing results?

You will need to clean your house a lot to try and kill the fleas. Revolution lasts all month and is a great preventative.

What did the vet who prescribed the Revolution say? I would give them a quick call to see.

I use Revolution every month on my 2 cats, that is prescribed by the vet, and it works great!

You can speed up the process of eliminating fleas from your house by sprinkling baking soda on the carpet and upholstery. Leave it there for about 20 minutes, then vacuum thoroughly, being sure to get in corners and under furniture. Vacuum the upholstery too; be sure to get in all the crevices. The baking soda removes the moisture flea larva need to survive, and the vacuuming removes many of the flea larva and eggs. Repeat this procedure daily for a bad flea problem, every few days if its not so severe, until you don't see any more fleas.

Revolution will kill all the fleas on your cat within 24 hours, and give continued protection for up to a month. As long as you parted her fur so you could get it right on the skin, that is.

Fleas are harder to get out of the environment. It depends on what spray you use as to how long it takes - you've got to contend with eggs and larvae as well as adult fleas, and not so many sprays kill these. You often have to do at least two treatments, at least a week apart to get the newly hatched eggs. One spray could do it, or it could take at least a month to get all the fleas out the environment.
