A word of advice, choose a song you have loved for a really long time. You don't want to look back at your wedding and think of a song you only kind of like. We danced to BB King's Stand By Me. It's been my favorite song for as long as I can remember. My husband really likes it too. If there isn't a more contemporary song you both have really liked for sometime then go classic. The song doesn't have to be overly slow and sappy. It can have a little beat to it, Stand by Me isn't really slow we were moving pretty good. One song we put on the DVD of our wedding was Crash by Dave Matthews. Go to I tunes and listen to music you like, you'll probably happen upon the perfect song.

I like "I will follow you into the dark" by Death Cab For Cutie
Or mine and my boyfriends song is "Green Eyes" by Coldplay, although neither of us have green eyes.. lol
"Hear You Me" by Jimmy Eat World is a beautiful song, although it's a little sad.
"Crash Into Me" - Dave Matthews Band
"Iris" - Goo Goo Dolls
"So Much" - The Spill Canvas (Long, but it's probably one of the sweetest, most beautiful songs I've heard.)

My fiance and I are dancing to You and I by Michael Buble. Modern but sounds jazzy and classic and the lyrics are really meaningful--very romantic, too. Try listening to one of his albums for more ideas.

We had everything i do (i do for you) by Bryan Adams.
It might sound sucky, but it's one song & the oldies really go for it. Gets them all sobbing & gooey
Even my wifes Mum & Dad liked it.
I'm like you, i lean towards the rock & metal stuff.
