Yes. Digital equipment cost several thousand dollars, smaller departments can not afford them. And in the end, the digital image is printed on the same form.

DEPENDS ON THE DEPT SOME STILL DO INK AND PAPER SOME HAVE THE DIGITAL SCAN JUST DEPENDS

I think it all depends on the city/town you live in. In the smaller towns I bet they still use ink.

they rarely do the paper way anymore, now you press your finger on a digital scanner, and it taked your fingerprint, and saves it into the computer, with your name, social security ect.

they may do both...digital imaging is cool, but paper doesn't break.
