--I AM ONE that does not think the majority try to undermine the Bible, as this article on the possible estimate of how many do or do not:
*** g82 9/8 pp. 3-4 Can a Realist Believe in God?
***Scientists and Belief in God
--One reason some deny the existence of God is that they feel that science has made such belief out-of-date. Is this true? Well, few of us are scientists, but surely it would be realistic to consider what scientists themselves have to say on the matter. An article in the magazine New Scientist states: “The lay view persists—of scientists having ‘disproved’ religion. It is a view that commonly expects scientists to be nonbelievers; that Darwin put the last nails in God’s coffin; and that a succession of scientific and technological innovations since have ruled out the possibility of any resurrection. It is a view that is wildly wrong.”
--The article added: “Scientists are not notably irreligious. There are no reliable surveys on which to draw, but a straw poll among universities, research establishments, and industrial laboratories indicates that as many as eight of every 10Â scientists follow a religious faith or countenance principles that are ‘non-scientific.’”
--THERE ARE some who are atheists and believe in evolution & might have the objection to the Bible as this honest one admits for these reasons:
*** g82 9/8 p. 4 Can a Realist Believe in God? ***
--Consider what atheist Aldous Huxley wrote: “I had motives for not wanting the world to have meaning; consequently assumed that it had none.” What were his motives? “For myself, as, no doubt, for most of my contemporaries, the philosophy of meaninglessness was essentially an instrument of liberation. The liberation we desired was simultaneously liberation from a certain political and economic system and liberation from a certain system of morality.”
*** g81 9/22 p. 19 Is It a Fact? ***
--Atheist Aldous Huxley’s admission reveals another possibility, when he says: “We objected to the morality [of the Bible] because it interfered with our sexual freedom.”

Non believers love to assume that all smart people are some how like themselves. Trying to define life by their own means and desires. They tend to forget that many of the most intellectual people to have ever walked the earth believed in God. Einstein was just one of a countless many. So they need to quit patting themselves on the back as if they've accomplished some feat of wisdom we haven't yet seemed to attain. This is not the case my friend.
Some things that are considered by many with willful imaginations to be 'scientific' we find laughable. Some we find pathetic and even shameful. We let science be science and spiritual things remain spiritual. We simply see all else as yet another failed attempt to justify a lack of faith. They aren't undermining anyone but themselves.

I think that these shows and misleading and that there are plenty of Christian scientests as well. I agree that these shows have become numerous in the last five years! hopefully the christian scientests just have better things to do then discredit things. I wish these people would go research cancer not try to prove that God does not exist. No one can clearly prove either way !
So SOME scientests want to prove the bible false, not all or even the majority. There should not be a war with christians and scientests on opposite sides.
One can say that God can prove science true also.

I don't think they have a conspiracy of some sort, but, most of them do try to prove the Bible wrong with science. They believe their worldly knowledge excells God's. How can one explain the ways of God? You can't. You either have faith, or you don't.
Frankly, I'm tired of seeing things on National Geographic like "The 'Real' Noah's Ark", or "The 'Real' Jesus" or any other scripture they wish to twist. When they do this, they are saying the Bible doesn't have the "real" story, they do. They are spreading lies about God's Word, and trying to discredit it. I think any Christian would agree with this.
And why do they keep referring to us as dumb and stupid and ignorant. Why? Because we believe in God? Because we don't acknowledge that they are as "intelligent" as they keep saying they are? No one is as intelligent as God, and if they think they are, then they will find out one day the "REAL TRUTH" God Bless

The Discovery Channel doesn't speak for me. Science looks at the evidence and draws the conclusion. Christians read the Bible and look around for supporting evidence.
The Egyptians were very good at duplicating Moses miracles! Of all the miracles that Jesus made, I love the first one of converting water into wine... I am not sure how the Discovery Channel explains that one, but I wish I knew how to do it. I am pretty good at moving mountains, but I am still trying to figure out how to change water into a good merlot...

almost any thing can debunk god, just the simple fact that there are 100,000 different ones and all but 3 or 4 are mythology
makes the few left implausible
not to mention the outlandish and impossible stories in the Catholic made bible
scientis only search for facts, not here -say in rewritten stone age storys
Edit ;;OK These people right

Why do so many non-Christians think Christians believe there is a scientific conspiracy?
With anything that involves people, I'm sure there are bad apples in the scientific community also. You can believe otherwise, but if you think there are no unethical scientists, then I would say you are in denial. There are bad people in every group, whether scientists, or Christians, or Muslims, or police, or politicians, black, white, yellow, brown, green, and pink with black polka dots.

The thing I get a kick out of is that these "scientists" seem to believe that if something can be explained using physical laws then it's not of God. That's ridiculous! Of course God uses the physical laws to make things happen. Some of these physical laws we understand and some we don't. This leads some people to believe that since we can understand how it happened, that God didn't make it happen. Nothing could be farther from the truth...
The one I've seen most recently is the explanation of the plagues that hit egypt in Moses' day. They don't spend a whole lot of time understanding how Moses knew these things were going to happen, only that the Frogs, and Flies and Boils, and so on were explainable by natural means.
Of course they are natural processes, guided by God...

Because amist the type of shows you just mentioned on those channels there are also shows on those same channels that attempt to discredit the Bible. One example would be that one documentary where they claimed to have found the casket of Jesus and his body and what not.

I'm not convinced this is what scientists are doing. It seems to be that science is trying to figure out how things happened.
In general terms, people who hold discrediting others as their goal, are ususally afraid they, themselves can't measure up or are unworthy. They attempt to build themselves up by tearing others down.
