I bought my dress there too, and they had a sign up saying no return/exchanges in addition to it being printed on the receipt.
If youre buying a more expensive dress, talk to the manager. Im sure they would let you for an extra frwe hundred!

The same thing happened to me, I was not able to exchange it so I bought a diffrent dress on ebay that I fell in love with. Well the ebay dress was not that pretty once I received it, I tried my David's Bridal gown and it looked more pretty that I remembered. When I went to have the bustle done everyone in the store said I looke beautiful. I wore my ebay dress to my civil wedding and the DB dress to the church wedding and received so many more compliments on the David's Bridal dress.
Good Luck and Congratulations

You can try and sell the gown that you do have... you can list it online (ebay, craigslist), list it in the newspaper classifieds, and spread through word of mouth that you have a dress for sale...
You can also check other bridal shops...some local shops may be willing to buy your gown from you so they can re-sell it or use it as a model...
If I were you I'd go up the chain with Davids Bridal and call a national line (try looking at their website to find a contact number) and see what they say...the store you went to may just not want to deal with the return... if you are willing to buy another gown from Davids Bridal, let them know that... they may be willing to let you return the dress if you are going to buy another from them (rather than you going somewhere else and them losing your business)
Good luck!

I bought my dress from David's Bridal and was told that you can return it as long as there was no custome work done on the dress and the tag was still on the dress. Check your receipt. If you still can't take it back try and sell it. Ebay, Craigslist, Newspaper add.. all good places to start.

I can't imagine that it wasn't explained to you. THey say it at EVERY sale. You have to sign your receipt to show that it was explained to you and it is written on your receipt. However, I have known people who have begger the manager and they have allowed people to exchange items that were unused and unaltered... never return - but exchange. I've done it and a friend of mine did it. Did you speak to the manager? It may also work in your favor if the dress you want is more expensive. When I finally got them to agree to exchange, it had to be of equal or greater value.
BTW - what dress did you get? Which one do you want?

If you still have your receipt you should check it, it should have the return policy printed on it. If it does say final sale then unfortunately there is not much you cna do. I would suggest selling your on Ebay, Craiglist or at a consignment store and then go find the dress you really want.
Good luck!

I bought my dress from Davids so I know all sales are final. They will not take it back. Many brides have bought two dresses, after they bought the first, they found one they like better.

My husband suggest Judge Judy! I suggest maybe going to a seamstress and seeing if you can change the skirting or maybe have a different top put onmalso maybe adding a sash or colored ribbon somehow would make your dress more your dream dress, good luck,Robin

the dress doesn't matter. you need to focus on the meaningfulness of what you are doing. that dress is just going to hang in your closet until it turns yellow in 10 years or you might decide to sell it after the wedding. so why is it important really? you'll look beautiful to him in whatever you wear or he's not the right guy to be marrying.

Nobody is going to care what your dress looks like and trust me, in 10 years when you look at your wedding album, you're going to think ANY and EVERY dress you couldve worn was "UGGGGLYYYY!"
