Roger 21 is wrong. Dona is the correct imperative of donare, which altho not as common as dare is quite ok as a word for give.

It is latin..And means...(my Lord)..give us peace !
But it is Wrong ! chattolich Church makes many errors ..on Latin ( they use latin of XII century)...
because "dona" is a verb latin ...
**(paradigma) dono, donas,donavi,donatum,donare (to give)
** nos,nobis..(us)
** pax,pacis....(peace)
(My Lord..sobget sottinteso) "donat "(imperativo presente 3°ps:) nobis ( dativo..to us) "pacem" ( complemento oggetto accusativo)
** Bettar..."Pax donat nobis !"
*** Pax vobiscum !...(means pax *** vobis) = Peace with you all..
