Can a puppy get sick if it gets two rabies shots within a one year span?

All vaccines have a duration of immunity of many, many years. Rabies has been tested by Wisconsin University and by the French. It is good for 5 - 7 yrs.

Most states have gone to a 3 yr protocol on Rabies. Over vaccination has been shown to cause problems in some dogs.

Your puppy most likely won't get sick immediatly. These things tend to show up later as auto immune diseases or ever injection site cancer later in life.

He isn't going to get sick, but you don't want to keep that up. You can over vaccinate dogs.. The person that says that she gets three for hers..She doesn't understand.. Cause no vet in the world would vaccinate 3 times in 1 year for rabies.. It would be too hard on the dogs, and it's just a money grab if the vet is doing that for someone.. Unethical..

You should get the 3 year shot so you don't have to keep doing it each year.

Not likely. Most only last a year anyhow unless you got the 3 yr. kind. There should not be a problem. At first they get the shot and the 2nd. yr. it's a booster and that's when they can have the 3 yr. shot. Don't worry.

Anyway, no he won't get sick. However, if you're worried you should keep your own shot records as well as what is at the vets office.

No it won't hurt but I agree with DP. It isn't necessary plus it can be to hard on a dog.
