drink lots of water every day, at least 2 liters, get some sodium docusate, or dulcolax tabs from the pharmacy and take one or two daily, walk alot. Eventually it will break loose.

been there done that. 2nd grade girl + constipation=midnight ER trip for laxative perscription and fluids.
You need to drink LOTS OF WATER!!! and prune juice (I know, gross, right, but it gets things a movin'). If it gets really bad like it did for me, you may need to think about going to the ER or your doctor to get a prescription for a really strong laxative. For me, it was the green bottle. They said it would taste like 7-UP. Well, needless to say it didn't at all (it tasted more like barf lol) but I had diarrhea and runny stools for the rest of the weekend (went on Saturday midnight, had diarrhea & runny stools all day Saturday and Sunday, not fun!). I don't know if they sell this anymore but also try Phillips Milk of Magnesia if tehy still sell it which I don't know if they do.
Hope you feel better soon and sorry for my horror story.

take loads and loads of oranges. Also take natural juices and water. Milk sometimes makes people constipate. There are many off the counter drugs too, ask the pharmacist. Hope this helps.

Try eating 10 or even 20 oranges or mandarins a day for a few days.

avoid diary products. Do drink water, apple juice, pear juice, and (if you can stand it) prune juice. Lots of pulpy fruits are good move-makers, like apples, pineapples, oranges, mangoes.

Eat figs and bran. Drink lots of water. A gentle natural laxative is syrup of figs.
