No way! girls are supposed to be pretty. There's nothing wrong with a girl who takes care of herself. i know that i know that I like women who have nice hair and paint their nails.

It all depends on what you mean by "high maintenance" - to some folks a woman that needs daily contact is HM, to others it's all about how much it money it takes to keep her satisfied. So it is really only a problem if she takes more time or money (or whatever) than what her guy is willing to give without resentment setting in.
Once resentment enters the picture the relationship is toast, and it doesn't matter whether the resentment came from her not getting what she thinks she needs or if it came from him having to give more than he thinks is reasonable.
For me, the best guide is the $40 and three-strikes rules. If it costs me more than $40 for the date, then I spent more than I should have. If we're not having sex before the end of the third date then we've wasted our time because you should know by then that it's NEVER going to happen and we both should have moved on.

What is the definition of high maintenance? if that means clean, neat and care for themselves, that is great. If that means bitchy, that's no good.
If its that they demand expensive stuff, Not a problem if they are the ones paying for it.
Personally I think that all the material stuff is over-rated. If a girl thinks that she need material stuff to be happy or attractive then they really are not. Strip away the facade and what do you have? Why not work on your personality and intellect. "things" break and rust and its worth usually diminishes with age. Personality and Intellect tend to grow regardless.

No, I think it's okay. I think of it as an interest more than anything else. Some people are into cars, stamps or books. Some girls are into makeup and hair. Now if they are self-absorbed and conceited; that is different and they need to look at something besides themselves. My husband loves his hi-maintenance wife but not always the bills! lol

People in general that are high maintence miss out on all of the simple little things that mean the most to other people

High maintenance women are fine, if you can afford the bill to keep them up. It is like owning a British car (a real one, not a ford/Jaguar). You may try to get rid of them but you will keep finding yourself with one (just like the British cars...)

For some men it can but there are guys out there that like it. Most men probably don't like it. To be honest the better a woman looks the more guys will put up with.

I think it's a problem if anyone is ... at least it's a problem for me. Some people don't mind being hooked up with a high maintenance person, but I'm not one of them.

Not if they are nice. Personality means a lot more than whether a girl is high-maintenance.
