Now that my cat Nala who we had creamated, it back (her creamated self, that is)...I don't feel upset anymore, once I saw her ashes, it felt like she was back home, like nothing has changed....Im even thinking of talking my parents into adopting a new cat

Why do you think the fact that her ashes are home made such a differnece in the way I feel. Shes not back alive, but it feels like she is, I can be in the house, and smile instead of cry

why do you think this is?

Us humans are often like that, when it comes to death. Those ashes were once your friend, and you feel happier knowing that she is there- even if not in the way she used to be.

It just shows that you understand between life and death. And that you know that she has gone to a better place and that it was her time. This actually shows good maturity. I think that it woild also be a good idea for you to try to adopt anither kitty. Then if you ever do get sad you have another one to maybe "talk" to or cuddle with that will hopfully make you feel better.

does that help any?

I would be too sad to burn my cat (yes, even when he/she's dead) and I would never cremate my pet, but I guess you got some closure with the ashes being placed in your house.

I think having her ashes has allowed you to have closure.

By all means, get another cat. She will have her own personality, but you will love her just as much.

Because you have found closure!
Sorry for your loss and I'm glad you're dealing with it well!
