Damn I just think old people are f*ing adorable!
When I'm old I'm gonna shake my fist in the air at all the young whipper snappers. I'm gonna steal lots of stuff and if I get caught just act all confused and old and 'what's going on, are you my grandson?' How will you be when you are old? Will you be a quiet reflecting senior with lots of old stories or will you be a bitter senior that runs over peoples' feet with your rascal?

Not that long to go, really...I'd be the crazy lady at the end of the road who has a parking lot for UFO's and flies the Jolly Roger off the front porch. Oh yeah, I'll do gardening, but nothing that looks remotely like a landscaper touched it with a ten foot rake...

Edit: I took another look at the above, and I realize I wouldn't change a thing from how I am right now! Except I'd start giving the excuse "I'm old..." for any slip of the memory or bizarrarie

I am 60, so I see it coming. I think what I'd most like to do is be the dear old Aunt B who is the little kids' favorite storyteller, and makes cookies for them, and answers the questions their parents can't.

First I have to get close enough to young people who are going to have kids. My surrogate daughter lives 2,000 miles away, and still hasn't gotten around to sending me a picture of the son she bore a month ago!!! And my other young friends live too far away, at least right now, and are engaged to be married when they get around to it.

I gotta make some more friends at the Ethical Society, and maybe volunteer to baby-sit for some of the kids.

But I don't buy the Red Hat Society poem about being a pain in the butt when I get old. I don't see the value in it.

I am old.
Apart from the natural deterioration of the body, the mind stays as young as ever although a bit slower.
To tell the truth, one can take advantage of ones senior citizen label sometimes, especially if you are an evil atheist like me.

Ah! the strong previous days. The summers were warmth and dry, we hadn't a care contained in the international, apart from atomic guns, threatening to wipe out all human beings or reason horrendous mutations and the Soviet Union become poised to take over the international. placed away the rose colored spectacles. the strong previous days are a fantasy.

YES

i think "wow, when i'm old, i'm gonna wake up...and do nothing!"
maybe because i'm young and tired when i think of this, but it's like a superlong vacation that ends when you die!

and of course, you have permission to act like a fool.

i'd probably be the guy with stories, somewhat reflecting, but not all reflecting.

i probably won't run over feet...on purpose.

Haha I'm totally with you! I daydream about being a crazy confused sour old lady! Old people are so carefree and get away with so much crap, I can't wait for my turn! :)

I'll probably be sitting on the porch telling the kids to stop throwing their dang ball into my yard.
