Ps3 = better graphics and geting better! , plus since the price drop, for a blue ray and built in wireless with free online play, a good choice.
360 = better choice of game, at the moment, however different models to think about, i recommend the elite however it is sold out everywhere! but if you buy a premium, make sure to ask for a hdmi one, not the old ones.
however there isnt much graphically at the moment between the 2 consoles. msg if you want to now more - plus link below of a video for you to watch

Well let's start some dissection here.
The PS3 and Xbox has a bunch of models.
The PS3 is more impressive with what it can do then what it can do now. So basically at the moment you'll find about the same games on xbox360 and PS3. Some even bounce down to PS2.
The xbox360 has a shiteload of problems. It can destroy itself and your discs. That's why microsoft extended the warranty for it, your games however will not be replaced.
The PS3 aint completely backwards compatible, so as a series gamer you'll have to say goodbye to final fantasy X and Devil May Cry 3.
If you're desperate to buy a console, get a Wii,DS or PSP.
The PS3 will be around easily till 2012, and if they bring out the PS4 you'll get a pricedrop there.

while you're basically gazing it quite is the greater useful sport console then the 360 wins arms down. The 360 has a much better library of better rated video games than the PS3. many of the video games are accessible on the two the PS3 and 360, and the photos are with regard to the comparable between the two consoles. The 360 is greater decrease priced than the PS3. The 360's online provider expenses $50/three hundred and sixty 5 days yet given which you quite prefer to play against different gamers. in any different case, you could circulate online to browse the shop and acquire stuff. That suggested, the 360's online provider is lots greater useful than the PS3's hodge-podge that truly hasn't replaced from the way the PS2's online provider operated. Even Sony's overhaul of their online gadget, named residing house, will nevertheless fail to handle many undemanding helpful aspects that Xbox stay has had because day between the unique Xbox. The PS3 might have the greater useful hardware, yet that doesn't propose something till builders are prepared to spend the time and money to exploit it. ideal now, it rather is basically no longer occurring. various the time what seems to ensue is a sport is more advantageous on the 360 first, then hurriedly ported to the PS3 and shoved out the door. the actuality that they are in a position to get such stable photos with extremely little attempt could be impressive, yet think of in the event that they actually spent the time to absolutely a thank you to exploit the PS3? so a strategies, very few video games are doing this. one in all them, GT5, is basically no longer released till 2009 or 2010 - basically approximately 5(!) years after the PS3 first released. And that, regrettably, seems to be the story for the PS3. "basically wait...you will see..." We had to attend 3 years for MGS4 to finally come out, and supply the PS3 its first real "could have" unique. yet interior the interim, the PS3 lost very final delusion XIII as an unique, it quite is an exceedingly vast blow to the PS3 because the two the PS1 and PS2 relied heavily on their respective very final delusion titles to dominate their era of consoles. the only real benefit the PS3 nevertheless has is that this is a blu-ray participant and continues to be between the ideal gamers on the industry. Even Sony thinks of the PS3 as a blu-ray participant first and leading . Why else do you think of they introduced they gained't be reducing the charges on the PS3 even however the main inexpensive kind PS3 is $a hundred better than the 360 professional which comes with 2 video games, a HD element cable, and a headset.

Ill put it plain and simple.
XBox 360- 3 different versions (Core, Pro, Elite), all are reasonably priced. 360 has a bunch of games on it now...controller is easy to use, xbox live
PS3- depending where you live, a bunch of models and price ranges (80gb for those who want the best but pay more, or 40gb for those short on cash but still want the ps3 experience). Has a few great games out now (Motorstorm, Resistance, NinjaGaiden Sigma, Heavenlysword, Warhawk...) but will defineatly be getting more. Amazing graphics, and like the ps2, will outlast the others and will still stick with us even when M$ comes up with a new console, and when the wii fails.
either way you go, both good.
just dont go for a wii.

Xbox 360 without a doubt! it is better value for money, the graphics are just as good if not better than the PS3. Unless you have a HDTV then blu-ray is meaningless. They have add about £300 onto the price when not many people use it. The games are 1000x better and more are coming out. The online play is loads better even if you have to pay for it!
Xbox 360 is the way to go, sony are going to crumble

PS3 is $499 and the Xbox 360 Elite is $479. $20 dollar difference...
PS3 games produced are on Hd 50gig blueray (more space for better graphics without sacrificing game levels and game size..) GTA4 developers even stated that the game will have better graphics and gaming on the ps3 version and are having issues with the 360 version because of 8gig dvd game format... They may have to make the 360 version on multiple disc so if you like getting out of your chair alot while playing, .....
360-elite games produced on dual layered 8gig dvds
game developers are finding the 360 format to limiting and finding that they have to sacrifice game graphics or gaming levels and challenges...
Ps3 for the extra $20 you get a full HD entertainment system that also surfs the internet. You can goto any website and watch or download videos like YouTube...You can access your email and print it etcc...
Ps3 Blueray hd movie player that also upscales regular dvds movies to HD...It also upscales ps2 games to hd..
Ps3 comes with rechargeable controllers...
Ps3 comes with free online play and Wifi
All of the above the 360-elite can't do.
360 and elite -For hd movies you have to buy the hddvd player for $200. For
360 elite for quick charge kit you have to buy it for $20.
To play online the 360 charges $50 a year
360 elite no interent browser
Ps3 hdmi 1.3 (supports deep color)
360-elite- 1.2 doesn't support deepcolor 1.3
Ps3 Nvidia RSX GPU Graphics at least two years ahead of it's time. And programmers aren't even close to using it's full potential yet.
360-elite is hardware locked into outdated DX9 graphics-Game programmers are developoing for DX10 (full 4d and 3d motion realism)
THe ps3 8cell broadband processors. CPU-Designed specifically for highspeed calculations (Games Capable of more AI charactors )
Xbox 360 -Elite-- The New 65NM CHip....Isn't any different then what they used in the 360 core except it cost less to produce....
Ps3 you can buy any external usb harddrive and hook it up loaded with music videos , etc...You can buy any brand 2.5 ata harddrive and upgrade the harddrive size for ps3...
THe elite and 360 requires Microsoft harddrives only- for a 20gig it's $100, for the 120 it's $189
360 -elite for wifi you have to pay an additional $100 and online gaming is $50 a year...And for that $50 a year to play online you also get stuck with third party in menu advertising...
To use 60% of what the 360 and elite can do you have to buy the addons and you'll spend over $750 before you even insert a game.
THe elite and new 360s hdmi, 65nm, red ring of death--Microsoft has no Idea what the cause is, You can't fix what you can't find. So yes they are all vulnerable.
Get the ps3 you can use it for so much more. We own all three. THe wii, elite and ps3

psp3? you mean ps3?
anyways yeah, ps3 is definetly the better buy!!
get a ps3 because
- ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player
- ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)
- online is free for ps3 not like 360
- ps3 will have over 300 games released by this spring
- when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it
- playstation home is coming out this spring, its a virtual community where you can hang out with friends and customize your own apartment which xbox doesnt have(FREE)
- ps3 is a true HD console. xbox 360 upscale games to 1080p and ps3 DISPLAY games up to 1080p
- built in Wi-Fi
- xbox 360: 33% hardware failure
ps3: .2% hardware failure(see the decimal? less than 1%!)
- rumble returns in spring 2008
- you can upgrade your harddrive without voiding warranties with any 2.5 HDD, which xbox cant because you have to buy a xbox HDD
(they actually have the step by step on how to upgrade it on playstation.com)
those are the ones that i know right off my mind but there are much more reason than this
Prices as of today:
ps3- 80gb: $599
60gb: $499
xbox 360(premium)- $399(if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 700 dollars)

I haven;t played on the Playstation 3 or a PSP, but I really want to. But I would go and buy yourself an Xbox 360, because it is the cheaper one, and it just seems the same as Playstation 3.

well, since you're pretty new in all this "gaming" consoles thing, I would suggest something basic that's also pretty fun and cheap. try a nintendo wii. it costs $249.99 and it is very fun to play with other people. otherwises, an xbox 360 is better than the ps3 because of all the funner and cheaper games it has.
