A deep dish Chicago style pizza is a real meal compare to the thin sliced new york style which has been a snack food in some circles. I tried both and prefer the Deep Dish. Some experts from the travel channel (Fire Fighters from New York, Chicago, and LA) called the New York Style cardboard with catsup.

Deep dish crust, with the edges curled up hold SO much more juicy STUFF!
Yum.
On the other hand, I also love the toasted, crunchy edges of thin crust pizza.
American pizza is so great in that one can put, virtually ANYTHING on it, like one can with sandwiches and burritios.
Any of you ever had a WHITE pizza with pine nuts?

Just cause its Chicago style. Deep thick crust. Its just a unique beast.
But I still think New York style is a better pie.

There's a lot more sauce, since it's on top of the toppings and cheese, and the deep dish crust is SO good. Mmm-mm!

I don't thank it's so special. I would much rather have a thin crust pizza any day.
