Quran says universe is expanding. Coincidence?

a 1400 yr old book "guessed" and got rite. hmmm....wats wrong w/ tht statement?

Honestly, I have not. Been meaning to, but never got around to it. When and if I do read it, it will be to learn of your individual beliefs, not because it is the fastest growing religion. I am against religion. Besides, I used to be Christian so the same logic I used to conclude there was no Christian God will probably work against your God. I have heard that your God is far less violet and egocentric than the Christian one so that's a plus. I do feel bad that a lot of people see your religion based on the extremists though. Especially here in America. Thanks for asking! Oh btw, which is the oldest, least re-translated version of the Quran? Just asking because translations tend to edit out the more skeptical parts to make it seem more believable. I don't know if the Quran has even been re-translated or edited. Just asking. I am interested in learning about the very many religions of the world, just so I can understand individually what they teach and I can understand it's followers from their perspective.

So who is this "We"? This is a case of an ancient text being reinterpreted after western science has come up with a compelling theory.

Even more interesting is that the same verse occurs in the much older book called the Bible in
Isaiah 42:5 even though it is a rough translation.

These aren't quite the same as you claim and don't say the universe is expanding. You need to explain where you got your translation from.

"the heaven" does not necessarily mean the fabric of spacetime as understood by modern physics, and it is this that is expanding. there are many possible interpretations of that verse (probably many more in the original language, too). some have simply latched onto this interpretation after it was demonstrated by other means. i'm not impressed. also, it was discovered quite recently that the expansion of space is accelerating. this is not "steadily expanding". how long before new quranic translations "discover" this amazing fact?

in the nordic eddas written about 2 thousand years ago it says that the demon surt will brandish his sword and destory the earth in flame one day in the future everything will be turned to ash

now science says one day the sun will expand and go nova and burn up the earth with it

that means odin is the one true god

cause the eddas predicted how the earth will be destroyed

and it doesnt say heaven and i bet there is more to that quote than your letting on possibly it means heaven literally sky or it could mean something else if i kept reading and didnt cherry pick

Why does that surpise anyone - the universe is expanding. The bible is not the only book of facts in the world you know. There are a great many encyclopedias, dictionaries, novels, and the like that also contain truth. What's your point?
