When I was in H.S. I dated a girl for a year, It was my first girlfriend and she wanted to get married. I cared about her very much, but I said I needed to date before I could mary. After months of arguing about it she broke up with me, and two weeks later started dating my best friend. I was crushed, I lost all my friends (we all were in the same group) and I thought about it every day. Now I only think about it once in a while, and I think I'm a lot tougher because of it. But every time I see a couple or talk to my friends that are in a relationship I'm very bitter about it and I hate seeing them togeather, not to mention I haven't had a relationship longer than a few weeks since then (2+yrs ago). Is this normal? Is anyone else out there as bitter as I am when it comes to relationships?

I don't think you got tougher. I think you got more defensive and insecure rather. Just because you had a bad expereience with a previous relationship doesnt make it wrong for others to have good relationships. Don't be a hater. You've got to find peace within yourself dude.

I don't think it's normal. In fact, i think it's abnormal. I mean, come on, it's been more than 2 years ago. Let go of the past and look forward to your future. You may be missing out on lots of wonderful things. Rather than moving on, you drain yourself on this unchangable past.
