The whole forum seems to be judging your friend when you have only supplied one fact about her. A bit forward if you ask me.

Anyway, she can marry him just as she would marry a citizen. Go get the license and then go in front of a preacher or judge, and get the certificate. Some towns do not give out marriage licenses if one of the parties do not have a social security number, so tell your friend to call and check before she goes to get the license.

Laws vary by city, I've heard you can get married in Vegas if your illegal. Do some searching, you might have to make a trip depending on where you live. In some cities, all you need is a photo ID and an original copy of your birth certificate that's not more than ten years old.

Of course you can marry an illegal, this is America. You can marry whoever you want. Alot of states require a Social Security number and/or a picture ID, others only ask for a birth certificate (translated of course). Just make sure you check with the town you plan to marry in before going. I know positively you can go to West Virginia, Indiana, and Maryland. But, don't get married just for a green card...that's a one way ticket out of the country for sure. Good Luck!

Marriage is a personal right. It has nothing to do with someone being citizen or illegal. They can marry by going to Church or to the court.

What is your real question?

This is America for goodness sake!! She can marry ANYONE she wants. It is quite easy. They just go get a marriage license and find a justice of the peace.
After that, they have to prove to immigration that they have a legal marriage and did not marry just to get him a green card.
The process does not require a lawyer. It is quite easy to fill out the paperwork once you are married. They will be called into INS and asked some questions. He will get his green card. That is all there is to that.

GET HIM LEGAL FIRST! Otherwise, WHEN he gets deported for being here illegally she will either have to go with him or tell him good-bye.

He can not become legal while he is currently breaking our immigration laws!

The illegal must first apply for the proper papers for a visa.
Then there will be a chance.

She can marry whoever she wants. The marriage would not be illegal (I don't care what anyone says) unless she married him for the sole purpose of legalizing him. After they are married, he can apply for residency.

Friends don't let their friends marry illegal aliens.

Seriously, don't enable her in this. It's a big mistake.
