i want to make one for an elnglish/latin translation. i dont know if that is a database or not, and if it is i dont know how to easily make one. i want it to be free. i own... adobe macromedia suite, and all the microsoft 2003 programs if any of those can help me out. thanks guys.

Assuming you have MicroSoft Office, use "Access" and wizards and help.
If you only have "Works", it has a database too.
If you do not have either, you should be able to download a database program from the web.
As a simple start, make a list of word pairs as a text file. It should be possible to import this into your database program for sorting and searching.
You could also search the web for a latin webpage. You may be able to download or copy stuff directly to your database and save typing time
