By starving yourself, you are putting your body into starvation mode, and thus gaining fat and weight. DONT diet!

(1) Stay away from coffee and caffine - this includes sodas
(2) Dont eat anything labeled "diet" or "reduced fat" - these things will only actually INCREASE your weight!
(3) Never drink anything LESS than 2% milk - and at your age you should be drinking 100% whole milk - the milkfat in the milk is essential for your body to be able to break down fat and flush it from your body - without the milkfat your body almost cannot remove any fat
(4) Have a glass or two of milk a day
(5) Fast for one or two days a week - dont eat anything but drink a glass of milk or juice and have vitamins during each meal time - if you find you are too hungry then stop fasting immediately
(6) Check out the Beach Body Power 90 fitness program - its a cool system and if you buy it it includes a bodysculpting guide and a nutritional guide that will show you how much you need to eat in order to actually lose weight - and its a ton of food - you need to ramp up your metabolism by eating more food rather than starving yourself
(7) Take vitamin B complexes along with a multivitamin
(8) If you want to try a traditional diet, try the Atkins diet - it is very expensive to follow, but the meals are planned almost 100% like they are in the Beach Body books and you lose weight very quickly
(9) Look into stress reduction exercises or meditation or play stress reducing videogames or things like that

A HEALTHY weight loss is 2 lbs. a week. You can lose up to 5 lbs. a week by fasting for 2 days during the week - and I only say UP TO because you can certainly lose much less than that.

Oh - also dont look at the scale more than once a week - you cannot notice weight changes on a daily basis, and it adds to your stress levels by watching the scale so often, causing you to gain weight.

Dont eat 3 hours before bedtime
If you just drink water, it keeps you at the weight you are.
People who drink milk 3-4 times a day lose weight.
Eat meals the size of your fists put together.
SKipping breakfast DOESNT work
Walking 30 minutes - Hour everyday while holding 2-5 pound weights

Undertaking is vastly overrated in relation to weight reduction. You are going to see your greatest results by means of your food regimen. Your kidneys additionally play a role in losing a few pounds. If you're having problems with them, then you can also now not see the results you'd like it doesn't matter what you do. They normally say talk to your medical professional earlier than starting any weight loss software. To your case I consider it can be rather predominant that you do.

Drop all the sodas, and drink a lot of water. Also use a smaller plate to eat off of. Eat quite often, small snacks, such as carrots, celery, apples, grapes, etc. That will keep you from feeling empty. The trick is not to feel so empty, that you gorge on foods that are not good for you. You also can go to www.quickandsimple.com, as they have a lot of dieting advice.
Good luck Sweetie. I just put my 12 yr old on this "diet" as he is 5' 9 and weighs 189#.

If you have not had a thyroid test done (it's a simple blood test) ask them to do that.
If your thyroid is functioning properly look at the time of day you're eating. If you're eating before you go to sleep or snacking while your sitting around you are not burning off anything. It will just be stored as fat.
Sometimes just changing when you eat does the trick.

Exercise, keep at your diet of reducing calories and fatty foods. Lower sugar intake, but since you'll be exercising, keep up the protein. Be patient. Remember, any quick fix will get undone just as fast.
