I'm trying to find a way to send e-mails to soldiers that have little or no mail from home. It's always nice to have penpals!

Ok, here's the deal most bases over in Iraq do have e-mail access. I had one and I was on a Foward Operating Base in the outskirts of Fallujah. Most of my Marines used myspace, I guess everyone is on myspace these days.

No. They should fill out an absentee ballot like everyone else. That is what I did when I was in the Air Force. You cannot sign an e-mail, a signature is needed to validate the ballot. But I think they should start putting electronic ballot machines on all Military Bases. Perhaps when this war ends, they will be able to afford to do that.

We generally frown upon non-official emails on the official servers (those ending in .mil). E-mails from family members are okay.

Don't think it's possible. Might have to do it the old fashion way, Snail Mail

Try anymarine.com or anysoldier.com. You can send letters and care package through these sites, and you can ask the soldier or marine if they are willing to give their email to you.
