We have been together since we were 17, so I don't know if the words of the song make sense, because it makes it sound like we were waiting forever for this love, when we were basically each other's first serious bf/gf. What do you think?

Absolutely! That song is timeless... and besides, you wait your whole life to find that perfect person. You just happened to find yours after 17 years of looking :) Best wishes!

It is a great song, a classic. But it is more appropriate for an older couple, like a first marriage between people in their 30's or 40's.

That said, most people don't pay any attention to lyrics of songs. Which explains why a friend of mine chose Unchained Melody for her wedding song, not realizing that it is about being apart, not being together.

And the couples who choose I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston, not knowing it is a breakup song.

At least, At Last is about keeping love found.

It's a sultry sensual song, the first words start off right for a wedding that's long over due. But what about the rest of the verses? You still have to dance to the rest of the song.

There are so many love songs out there that you can use.

It's your wedding, choose what you like. Congratulations.

Teenage Dirtbag by Weezer If you have seen the video, I would be the nerd guy that the girl never sees or anything... the only exception is that at one point she invites him to dance in homecoming at the end of the video because that Jamey guy never even said hi to me, lol. But he was HAWT! ...it was a little crush 3 years ago when I was a junior in high school. In college I don't like anyone but there are plenty of hunks there but I'm not interested. Now, if you are talking about ummm.. that one (not a classmate BTW) the song is I'm alive by Celine Dion. ^_^ but the song must be Teenage Dirtbag too, lol.

I think it's a great idea! Just remember, this is your day! If that's the song you like best do it! It doesn't matter what anyone else will think! If you decide on something different because you are afraid other people might not understand you may regret it later. Marriage is about two people! And you two are the most important on that day no matter what!! Congrats!

I think its totally appropriate. You guys have been together since 17 and "at last" you are getting married. Makes sense to me.

If you love the song then do it. If you choose something else you'll regret it later.

I think it is appropriate, I wouldn't over think it too much. Plus you can always think of it as "at last we are married!"

Good luck!
