Yes, it is.
Awhile back, when Chosen by God was going around calling the women of R&S "Vile Temptresses," we decided to have a "Vile Temptress Day" and ask questions about it. Since it was too long to type out every time, we shortened it to "VTD" and thus "Vile Temptress" became "VT."
And that's your daily history lesson.:)

Yes, it does stand for vile temptress.
I'm in training. Ha ha.
After all, according to the "true Christian" who started the whole thing, I'm a hypocrite and not a true Christian. I figured that puts me on par with the women he called "vile temptresses."

It means Vile Temptress, unless you see it on the end of a Lamborghini model. Then it means viscous traction.

Yes. Vile Temptress.
;-)
The one who started this was a fundie who posts abusive questions and answers. (You'll know him because he uses the word "hypocrite" about a hundred times in every question and answer). He also likes to send people abusive e-mails, and ask abusive questions attacking other users by name. In one post, he attacked a female user and started calling her (and other females on this forum) a "Vile Temptress". {{hugs Rach...}}} Other females sort of banded together and made it into a sort of a "badge of honor". I added it to my avatar after the fundie in question posted a question attacking me by name.

Don't put yourself down. No question is a dumb question. Dumb would be to never ask and never find out.
I have no idea what the VT is for.

I always thought people had the VT up ther to pay respects to the people who died in the Virginia Tech Shooting that killed those 32 students.

Perhaps you have not met the requirements for vileness and/or tempressiness to know....
But the guy who started it called me Blind and Evil One.

yup and the story behind it is ...
some male chauvinist user ( naming no names )
was picking on certain female users here
calling them vile temptresses and worse
so some of us started using the name just to get to him a little
I did use it for a little while ... as I was one of his chosen ladies
did I say chosen ?
((((Rach)))) ssshhh !!!
