Jews don't believe in Jesus being their Messiah, and you have to believe that and accept Him in order to get to heaven. So does that mean, all those millions of Jews went to hell?

Anyone who does not accept Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior, will perish in Hell, period. We do not know what those Jewish casualties believed before their demise, so it is impossible to know. The Holocaust was a historical tragedy, spurred by a man filled with hate....wonder where he is....

I used to be a Christian, and the Christian teaching is that yes, absolutely every holy Jew who died in the holocaust went straight to hell. Christians also believe that if Hitler had repented at the last minute, he'd be in heaven today.

I'm so glad I don't believe that anymore! I left Christianity because of the many inconsistencies, and a few years later I converted to Judaism.

Here's what's so odd to me:

Christians claim to believe that the Jewish Scriptures are the infallible Word of G-d. There's no way they can truly believe that AND believe their scriptures, though...

Because G-d told the Jews that we have an eternal covenant with Him. He said that we would break the covenant time and again, but that He would never forget us--our covenant with Him, and His with us, is forever, He said. I BELIEVE G-d doesn't lie--and Christians say that they believe that, too.

How, then, can they assert that we're going to 'hell'? If G-d made a covenant with US and then changed His mind, then they'd better be awfully careful--because He'll change His mind about their covenant, too.

I wonder what that Third Covenant will look like! :)

The truth is that Christians no more believe in Jewish scriptures than they believe in the man in the moon. They like to use the 'pretty parts'--the bits that make them feel good--but anything actually substantive gets tossed over their shoulder with a careless, "Oh, well, that's done away with now."

Bah. Yes, Christians believe that Jews who were killed during the holocaust--many of them holy, deeply religious people-- went to hell--all because they didn't believe in an imaginary man-god.

I don't believe they all went to hell. Some may have, if they were bad people. However, I don't think God would send good people to hell just because they did not believe in Christ. No one truly knows the answer to religious questions like "Does God exist?", and "Was Christ Jesus the Messiah?"...we can only study up and go with what we feel is right. That's why I think it is wrong for people to tell other people they are going to hell for not believing the same thing as them. After all, the Bible tells us not to judge others. We should not try to play the role of God by telling who will make it to Heaven and who will not. That is God's business and His business only.

God bless.

It is a most fundamental Christian belief that the only way to heaven is by recognizing Jesus as an equal to God. Any Christian who claims he believes Holocaust Jews didn't go to hell is lying. That gives you an idea how sick and twisted Christianity is.

P.S. Contrary to popular opinion, Jews do not believe Christians go to hell. Jews don't believe in any kind of a permanent senseless-punishment kind of place like hell, anyway, which was a Greek invention -- not a Jewish one. And Jews think Christians have their own standards and their own pathways to G-d.

According to your holy book.

According to the Jewish holy book they all went to heaven and all the Christians are going to hell.

According to the Muslim holy book they went to hell, along with the Christians and the Muslims are going to heaven.

Face it, all versions are equally valid, there is no evidence to support one over the other.

Can you show that Paul was right in deifying Jesus? That he was not a false prophet, like the Jews claim, or that he was just a prophet, like the Muslims claim.

Come to that, can you show why any of the Abrahamic religions are right and Hinduism is wrong?

I would hope that if there is a god of some sort out there, and he does select who goes where after they die, that he judges them on what they did and how they truly felt, rather than which temple they went to worship in.

They don't believe in hell so no. Hell is a place created by your own personal guilt. I think a lot of people who think they are going to heaven but have committed moral sin in the name of religion, are going to hell. You can't run from yourself and what you know in your heart to be wrong. BTW, religion was created by man to control the masses not by God. God's law exists in your heart not in some book. I feel sorry for you.

No, you racist bigot. Jews are a holy people blessed by God who received the covenant. Read about the Ark of the Covenant. Their religion is the foundation for Baha'ism, Christianity and Islam. Israel was promised to them and is their land (not the GREATER Israel which should become a Palestinian homeland but that's another issue) so you should think more highly of them and respect them instead of being an anti-Semite.

Absolutely no. They died as martyrs. And Jews were the people chosen by God in times when jesus didn t appear yet. They were guided by God Himself, since Abraham and Moises.Ancient times before Christ.

Simon T -- One of your three statements is false: nothing in the Jewish texts or tradition consigns non-Jews to hell.

Sadly, you are correct about Muslim and Christian doctrine: according to them, non-believers go to hell.

Jews don't believe in hell so they won't be going there.

Apparently that is the case according to Christian theology.

The same goes for the thousands of Kurds gassed by Saddam and the millions killed by Pol Pot in Cambodia.
