Whats the meaning of dreaming your dad died. His funeral was held. His parents were there. I think i will be seeing him soon so what could this dream mean?

Father or Father figure is a symbol of your need for safety and security, it also means you have suppressed onging to lean on someone or to be guided by someone. Dreaming of your father could also mean a confrontation with your boss or a figure of authority. You feel imprisoned. Sometimes a dream reminds you of a person who has stood by you and has given you advice in the past. What has your father contributed to the person you are today? Death? Simply means the end of something. The way I see this dream of yours is the end of your needing support of your father and family to go further in life, not that you don't need a family just you are strong now and can "go it on your own", your liberated! xx

I don't think it's prophetic, most dreams of death are about transitions from one phase of life to another. If you are a young adult, you have grown up, and don't need you dad to protect and nuture you in the way you once did, you are obviously out of the house now. As you mature, and go on into a new part of your life, so does your dad, as well, and he is entering a new part of his life where he doesn't have to worry about his children as much, and can go back to exploring and enjoying who he was, before he had kids. Perhaps his parents are in the dream, because you are noticing a pattern of this process through the generations.
If you are older, middle aged with senior parents, then it could be more about watching them grow old, and bracing yourself for that eventuality. But one thing I don't think is that I don't think it is some sort of prophecy.

I had a dream like that a year ago. It was horrible I woke up crying and called my dad to make sure he was alright because he lives in a different state then me. That dream was probably caused by stressful things in your life. Nothing happened to my dad after I dreamed that he died. Everything is going to be alright :]

Dreams are either fear manifestations or wish fulfillments. Maybe you subconsciously fear losing him or maybe you feel that he's vulnerable due to something he's facing in his life. Either way, it certainly isn't a premonition, since losing a loved one is a very common dream.

omg don't worry, i had a dream about my dad dying and i was sooooooooo scared. I woke up crying! it was a really gruesome dream "shudder"......but nothing happened so calm down.....

idk but I always dream people die and they havent yet knock on wood!
