$5k to spend? wow...then I would do a multi country trip in Europe. The EuroRail can take you to such places as France,Poland, Germany,Switzerland and Italy
or spend a week in Vegas,NYC,San Fran, OR Toronto. Great restaurants,shopping,nightlife (esp in Toronto since you are under 21).
or take a cruise.
