we are running out of our natural resources at an alarming rate....and we are still having sex like bunny rabbits. not only are we deplenishing our natural resources, we are inviting war and plague. when is the church going to endorse contraception? does the church really want war, plague and a raping of our natural resource?

the church has millions (billions?) of people completely brainwashed....yet, they want people to keep ignoring contraception...i guess because their children will be brainwashed too...more $ for the church...but is the church so near sighted to see that if we all die they won't make $ anymore?

Yep, If you took a Contemporary World Problems class in high school that was the big answer at the end of the course. Every problem stems from the population.

It's certainly a contributing factor, though religions started wars long before overpopulation became an issue.

As for when religion will endorse responsible procreation, the answer is: Never. Ironically, churches have followed the rules of evolution all along, one of which is that the subspecies that can out-reproduce the others will dominate the species. They have also culled rational thinkers' genes from the population by murdering anyone who opposed them. Is it any wonder these nutcases rule the world?

The root of all long-term problems facing the world is overpopulation. The solution to overpopulation is either to limit the number of children born (via contraception) or else increase the number of deaths caused by starvation, disease, natural disasters, etc. The planet can maintain only so many people. That number is self-regulating, so it's really not up to humans unless they wish to improve the quality of life for those who have been born.

Get religion out of the bedroom. Get religion out of the classroom. Get religion out of government office.

Who cares if the church bans contraception?

They should continue to hand it out at schools.

Overpopulation has definately been related to most plagues. And lack of sanitation.

War has been apparent for as long as humanity.

Overpopulated? Not!!! You can give each person on earth (those that are alive right now) a plot of land 3 ft X 2 ft to stand in and all 6,000,000,000 + of us would fit inside the city limits of Jacksonville Florida.

The church is very selfish. They don't care. All they want is to further their own power.

The Bible says trying to get things we are jealous over and don't have, is the cause of war.

"Overpopulation" is a myth. Small pockets of the world has crowded conditions, but virually all the earth is still uninhabited.

We are to be fruitful and multiply.
