I haven't heard of this problem. If you get good results from a switch, then maybe keep two or three on hand, and use them off and on.
It may surprise you to know that most people can get through a day without BO if you shower that morning, using a good soap and dress appropriately so you don't find yourself sweating. In fact, having a layer of goo on your armpit may actually cause germs to get stuck there, and multiply. There is a growing concern about how safe anti-perspirants are. You might try a deodorant only from a more nature based company, such as Tom's of Maine, or one of those rock things.
If you are allergic to something in the product it may cause excess irritation, infection, any number of problems that result in BO. I know in my own case, I still use regular old drugstore deodorants but I get frustrated because my underarms doesn't seem very clean, they are sticky and weird feeling even when I'm rinsing in the shower which I have always concluded is residue from deodorant.
Mitchum is a good brand, too, and Secret and Degree both have prescription strength.
A homemade remedy is simply to dilute lavender oil in a spray bottle full of water and use this instead of other kinds of deodorant. Any number of essential oils have deodorizing proerties and could be used the same way.

I had the same problem...sort of...just I would put on deodorant and it would only work for about 5 minutes. I saw a commercial for that new Clinical Strength deodorant and decided to try it out. Surprisingly, it works! You just have to follow the directions they give you for it to work. The only down fall about it is the cost...it's like $10 so if you can find coupons for it every little bit helps. Good luck!

I have a friend with the very same problem. I have been to several specialists with her, here are some options.
1.) bot ox injections (it really works for sweaty arms)
2.) prescription strength deodorant
other than these two options, I would seriously recommend secret clinical strength. Its pretty much a last option before seeing a specialist. It is one of the only over the counter prescription strength deodorants I can think of.
But out of all of your options, Bot ox has the most dramatic results.

Sounds like you may need a prescription strength deodorant. I am not sure what the brand is, but the just started selling it with the regular deodorants. So you won't need to see a doc to get it. But if that doesn't help either, you may have to get an appt. :) Good Luck!

If you're only needing a deodorant and not an antiperspirant, try using a crystal. The mineral crystals are excellent deodorants, long lasting both on you and as a product.

You're supposed to apply the deoderant every day, not put it on and expect it to stay there for a week or more. Are you using enough of the deoderant in question? Try using different ones until you find a brand that works well for you.

I've always had a hard time with deodorants. Not even secret platinum would work for me! I ended up using ban (green bottle) and it worked great. I then did a demo for dove, and wanted to give their cool moisture deodorant a try. I thought it would make my underarms gross and oily, but they're soft and dry! miracle if you ask me lol It works really well, smells great, and keeps your underarms moisturized and smoother.

I stared using Secret prescription strength when I got a free sample of it (it's OTC at Walmart). Works for me, and I sweat like a pig! Maybe just have two deodorants and switch them out every week to "trick" you body.
