Hey, everybody has their own opinion. Halo 3 sold extremely well, so I assume a lot of people liked the game. I haven't played the game, and I likely won't for a long time (I'm fourteen, I don't have a 360, and my parents don't let me play M rated games.), so I don't know personally. I have heard that the game was too short, but I believe Halo 3's online was the major point of it.
Is it overrated? I don't know.

I have to admit, of all the terrific FPS games I've played, Halo 3's hype and marketing really made me disappointed when I actually bought the game and played it. The game's selling point and major feature is the multi-player option with the ability to chat with your teammates. Other than that, annoying little creatures (they're just as annoying as the Ewoks were in Return of the Jedi) firing blasters and the so-called "gore" being so toned down makes this game to be very dull - heck, the game rating should be "T" rather than "M". The graphics and gameplay are great, but for a FPS game, this is boring compared to games like Gears of War or The Darkness or even Stranglehold.

The game is short...The graphics are better then halo 2 and some of the new gadgets are cool but overall it's seems to be just an online game. Is it over rated ....Yes but if people want to by it they should just get it off of ebay for $30

I think that what people like me love most about Halo 3 is the online aspect. Have you had a go? There are so many varieties of game within the live aspect that it's constantly entertaining.
Play it more and it'll grow on you. I don't know anybody who's not a complete addict.

I bought a 360 for Mass Effect, I rented Halo and I feel the exact same way.
We should start a support group.

ok then whats bad about it...is it the amazing graphics??? solid FPS gameplay? or the cracking story? Hmmm? i cant see anything wrong there
maybe you should go play star trek for the 360 and discover what sh1t really means
