Don't list the work on your resume and if they ask why there's a gap between jobs. Tell them you have to care for sick family member, start a family and/or care for babies, or traveling...etc. It's depend on how long you work for that company and figure out your excuses for not working during that time.

I didn't list one of my work b/c I left them with bad term. I worked for them like 1 year, I just tell the interviewer "I relocated to another town and wanted time-off to settle down". More than half of all interviewers don't ask me "why", they just don't pay attention to the 1 yr gap or just don't ask.

I suggest you don't lie. Do you have a reasonable excuse for being terminated without sounding like whining? If you do lie and later they find out he truth, you will find yourself terminated again and then it will be difficult to get a job. You can say all sorts of things because your former employer is limited what he can say because you can sue him if he causes you to not get this job. Whatever you say, make it short and sweet without whining or saying you were picked on and quickly explain how you plan not to have that happen again or that you realize it was wrong and will not do it again. But short and sweet on the faults and long on your attributes.

Tell them the job explained at your interview was not the job you were working at.

You tell them the truth! If you tell them otherwise they could call your former employer and find out that way, which is much worse. At least this way you can explain yourself.

Don't list the job in your previous employment and you won't have to answer at all. Better to omit than lie, IMO.

Good luck!
