He supposedly lived in the jungle and was a wildman so how come he didn't have a big hairy beard?

maybe he could not grow facial hair, but that is really weird now that i think about it.

Because women wouldn't want to watch him as much if he had a big scraggly, skanky beard. Television's all about ratings. You should read the books. Up through book... I think maybe seven... they're really good. Much better than any TV show or movie they ever did.

Seems kind of impossible, doesn't it. Just like in all the western movies, all of the hero cowboys are clean shaven, fresh pressed clothes, straight white teeth. Women are always fresh as daisies, their hair perferct, lipstick never smeared.

His pet lion licked his beard off...btw Tarzan was in rhe movies before TV was even invented...And he was clean shaved then as well.

Because he is a fictional character and they can make him look any way they like. It's good box office to make him look like his audience.
Why is he always clean? Jane is always clean, too.
If it were realistic, they would be filthy with matted hair and probably wouldn't have all of their teeth.

I like to believe that he suffered from a rare genetic disorder that prevent facial hair from growing on him.

Hahaha.... I Love it! I thought I was the only person who noticed that detail. Interested though to see what people thought. I have no clue - maybe he was just too young to grow facial hair. ? No idea.
