try getting down on his level, looking him in the eye and speaking quietly, but firmly. You may need to hold him near you or hold his arms so he'll stay and listen. Ask him to repeat what you just told him and ask if he understands. Tell him that you expect him to do what he was just told because he's a big boy now, but that if he can't, he will have to sit in the "Special Place" to think about listening to you and doing what he is told. If you are CONSISTENT, he will start to calm down and listen to you- it may take weeks as apparently he has gotten away with it for awhile, but it WILL work IF you act consistently! Good Luck!

You just have to be patient with the child.. do your best not to show anything.. sit them down and talk to them.. i have found that yelling wont do anything.. you just have to talk to them, make them understand what they are doing wrong or right..

Make them sit down and look at you while you talk and then ask them to repeat what you said!! That is what I have to do!!

stop them and sit them down, make them obey you and do not ever turn it into a game, no chasing, no running,, no laughing,
time outs work great,
and be consistent,,, children need boundaries, and a consistent boundary at that
