I would offer a reward to those who declare them. I would register them (through a national data bas) & impose a fine to anyone who entered illegally, (say $10,000.). How will they pay it? I'd allow them to continue to work, pay their share of taxes & garnish their wages until the fine is completely paid. If they quit without getting a new job, I would deport them. If they continue to work & stay out of trouble, when the fine is completely paid off, I would give them the opportunity to apply for residency & citizenship as allowed by law. I think this would be a win-win situation for everyone. No wasting money on fences, no violence, no labor shortage for anyone. Those that don't want to pay the fine would be discouraged from entering illegally & breaking our immigration laws. Sorry for violating the word limit.

the reason human beings come right this is for danger, which will by no potential replace. it is not basically the illegals that are the situation, yet confident the companies that hire them besides. yet well-known the federal government has been VERY lackluster in prosecuting them. seem at Monsanto, they're the biggest corporation of illegals, and different than according to danger 50-60k in fines, it rather is not something to a business enterprise that makes BILLIONS a three hundred and sixty 5 days. interior the top there is not any thank you to truly resolve unlawful immigration. there is the two; A) Kick anyone who isn't a citizen or resident OUT, and do over. B) furnish Amnesty to anyone and then seal the borders. different than that, we are screwed. i could quite have a president who could arise for us, as a replace of show regret for us by potential of bowing lower back and lower back to international leaders. it rather is almost a dogs who rolls over for a abdomen scratch this is an illustration of submission, and we've now grow to be a guffawing inventory of the international. We have been till now yet a minimum of we had understand because of the fact we took no crap.

The way I would handle it would be that if anyone who had a baby here while they were illegal that their unborn baby would also be considered born in the United States threw illegal status and there for required to go threw the same process as anyone. And that they would get deported as soon as they gave birth along with the child. I believe this to be the case clear across for anyone that breaks the law and is here illegal, illegal is illegal for anyone no matter from what country. I don't just pick one country I mean this for anyone.

Tell the entire truth and not let either side slant the issue. Then I'd start enforcing the law while making legal immigration achievable.

First I would make it a felony to be in this country without status. First offense deportation and a one year suspended sentence. Second offense one year in a tent jail. Third time year 5 years in a federal pen. Fourth time 10 years in a federal pen.
The business that hire them the same only fines as well. I would also set up a data base composed of those who leave on their own, and after the dust settles, allow those to return as guest workers as needed. I would also let them become citizens after 5 years, if they met certain criteria

Impose severe penalties for companies that hire illegal workers. Without jobs, the illegal immigrants would leave on their own.

Enforce the existing law and give legal immigration applicants precedence in granting green cards, work permits etc.

I would deport all of them, finish the fence and I would require all people on wealfare who are physically able to work to fill the jobs that the illegals were doing or stop their checks. The jobs that could not be filled by people out of work or on wealfare would be filled by inmate labor where the farmer, construction company would pay the prision minimum wage for the inmates they use and that money would go towards paying for the inmates housing cost.

I would also make it a 10k fine for any employer who knowingly employed an illegal and also 10k fine for any landloard who rented to someone without proper documentation.

This would fix it

Send all illegals and anyone who wants to immigrate over to Iraq to fight. Let them pay taxes on their military pay. After at least 1 year of service, they get made citizens.

That way, over extended soldiers could come home, and illegals can make a positive contribution instead of being a liability.

( This solution also works with criminals in prison who committed non-violent and non-sexual crimes, would end prison over crowding too ! )

I really don't know what could be done in order to handle this problem but I am pretty sure that the results of "avoiding" immigration would be very bad for the USA: Who would do the work the americans don't wanna do? Look around!! Is your housecleaner american?
