The boy who was beaten by the Jena Six is doing fine, he had a broken nose, concussion, etc. He WAS NOT involved with the noose incident - the boys that were, had been suspended from school as they broke no law by hanging the nooses.
The 'ring leader' of the J6 is back in for assault - he had a previous record also.
The J6 learned one lesson - solve your problems with violence then play the race card and everything will be okay.

Apparently, because everyone else has calmed down. The white kid that was beaten recovered enough to attend a school function on the night of the beating, so I'd imagine on day 2 he was doing just fine. Since some time has passed, I'd imagine he's back to normal. I don't know if he hung the noose or not. If he did, having a group of 6 beat him is not a fitting punishment. The DA in LA said nothing exists to charge anyone with a crime for hanging nooses, so they let it go. There's nothing more they can do, except prompt the state to make laws making it illegal to prevent it from happening in the future. They can't retroactively charge anyone with a crime for it.
"and also the main one is back in jail for violation of probation involving another incident of assault not having anything to do with the jena six thing."
That has little to do with the intolerance and racism they received. I don't care if they day after it went on the news he went out and raped and killed someone, it doesn't make it right to charge them with attempted murder when all they did was assault.

I must admit I don't know enough about this case to argue a point of Innocent or guilt. But I was going to post a question about attempted murder charges. Some stories classify this as a "school yard" fight. This case must be base only on the merits of this case. Six people beating one person could, in my opinion, could rise to th level of attempted murder. I always had to go by " the amount of force that you know, or should know will cause death" So if I hit you with a pipe in the head, that should be attempted murder because it COULD have killed you. Just because you moved at the last second, lessening the blow, should not nullify the attempt. I also don't know the criteria to rise to the level to be charged as an adult While there sound like some very serious problems in this city, how does an injustice in this case right wrongs those cases. I do hope they refile the case.

Hate to break it, but, apparently according to Donald Washington, the US Attorney for the Western LA, six black guys beating up one white guy is not a hate crime.
People keep talking about the injustice of what is happening to the black boys, but it's like they have blinders on and don't even consider what they did and that one of them has had at least four separate violent crime charges against him before this. It's sadly another show on how people care more about the supposed racism of whites towards blacks than justice or any white VICTIMS involved. It disgusted me to see the walk on Jena. These people don't care about justice. They don't care about the truth. Even the House is getting in on the action. They need to leave off and go find something more important to do, like bringing our troops home or better health insurance for our children, you know, THEIR JOBS.

The kid that was beaten had nothing to do with the noose , He just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time
in the wrong color of skin.
Regardless of that, hanging a noose is not against the law. Maybe stupid, but not unlawfull. Assault is.

The kid should be fine. The "Jena six" should have been charged with a hate crime in addition to the other charges.

regardless of what pissed them off, 6 people beating up one person is just wrong. and now one of them is BACK in jail for beating up someone else?
that's just plain bull*hit.
they should all be imprisoned for a good long time.
including the one who was beaten, if he was the one to hang the noose.
