As salaamu 'alaikym, my friend.
The "Klu Klux Klan" was and is a white supremest movement that was started by returning Southern Civil War veterans after the United States Civil war ended.
It main emphasis was to keep those person of African American heritage (i.e., the former ***** slaves) from voting, gaining an education and exercising their civil liberties as the same are expressed and represented by the Constitution of this nation.
They practiced lynchings, murder, rape, whippings, cross burnings and other forms of torture upon their targets.
Later, they expanded their hate filled practices and outlook to include other ethnic minorities and Roman Catholics. IN the late fifties and throughout the sixties, they actively opposed the civil rights movement. Many of their past and present members have been convicted of murdering young civil rights workers.
They still exist today and still practice the same hatreds previously mentioned. They are not longer a 'Southern" group and now have chapters throughout the U.S. of A.
IN photographs and other media representations, they are usually pictured wearing long white robes with a conical or pointed head dress which often hides the face of the wearer.
They are one of the greatest embarrassments of this nations past .
Insha'Allah, this is not a joke.
Ma'a salaam.

KKK was originally started after the civil war by Nathan Bedford Forrest in response to the reconstruction efforts beign made by the United States in former confederate states. Its primary point was to reject Northern "sentiments" such as voting rights for all US citizens (13th amendment, blacks and whites). When the reconstruction period ended in 1877, the KKK dwindled (having in effect won their battle)
In the 1930s and on, particularly during the Civil Rights period, the KKK had a resurgence and became a direct opponent to Civil Rights efforts.
Today, the KKK is purely about white supremecy, using both political (fascism) and religious ideology as a springboard.

KKK stands for the Ku Klux Klan.
See the link below which describes it pretty well.
The people who participated in it often claimed to be Christians but they were fakes. They were the weeds Jesus talked about in Matthew chapter 13.

It was originally a club, fraternity, or whatever you might wish to call an organization along those lines, of Confederate War Veterans. The white costumes frightened some persons which would not be unusual considering the educational level of the population at the time. It did not originally have the racial overtones ascribed to it today. I say overtones because as the change occurred, some white people were threatened by the organization for treating black people as if they were people. Today, they are just a hate organization and the primary targets seem to be black people, jews, and any other minority they choose to hate. The KKK stands for Klu Klux Klan

Started by Nathan Bedford Forrest, this group of white supremecists were active in the post-reconstruction United States, and seem to be not much more than vanishing ghosts, and a waste of good bedsheets.
God certainly knows whom they are, and has reserved a 'special place' that is hot.
