Last night I kissed a picture of Jesus and said please forgive me for turning my back on you and I asked him for a sign and I opened the Bible and read any random passage and it said something like "I know what you have done to Jesus for this was the Father's will, ask for forgiveness and you will be forgiven."

friends, i realize that what you did to Jesus was done in ignorance and the same can be said of your leaders. But God was fulfilling what all the prophets had declared about the Messiah beforehand - that he must suffer all these things. Now turn from your sins and turn to God so you can be cleansed of your sinsthen wonderful times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord and he will send Jesus your Messian to you again.
see now??????? how can you tell me that is not a sign.

You just did. You thought a random thought then randomly opened a book to a page that just happened to say something that vaguely applied to what you thought. So?
Did you know that the Bible, especially the New Testament has many things written about Jesus? It's not surprising to randomly open the book to one. Now, if you kissed your camaro and said "how do I fix my transmission", then opened the Bible and it had a schematic in there, I would be impressed.

*** it-1 p. 862 Forgiveness ***
God has a required way for seeking and receiving his forgiveness. A person must acknowledge his sin, recognize that it is an offense against God, confess it unqualifiedly, have a deep heartfelt sorrow for the wrong done, and have a determination to turn from such a course or practice. (Ps 32:5; 51:4; 1Jo 1:8, 9; 2Co 7:8-11) He must do what he can to right the wrong or damage done. (Mt 5:23, 24) Then he must pray to God, asking for forgiveness on the basis of Christ’s ransom sacrifice.

Um, this sounds like it might be a hoax. To the best of my knowledge, there is no one passage that says what you say you found. You appear to be composing new Scripture for us. Thanks, but I'm not buying what you're selling. The Bible has many truths that can help us when we have sinned, and sometimes even our sin is part of the unfolding of the grand plan of God, and anyone who seeks forgiveness certainly can and will be forgiven, because Jesus has provided a basis for forgiveness in His death. But making up verses for a social networking group is not a good beginning to seeking healing with God. If I have erred in evaluation the passage to which you refer, please forgive me. If not, please clarify how you think making something up like this advances anyone's knowledge of truth or appreciation of God.

I have often randomly opened a Bible and my eyes have come upon a passage completely unrelated to a dilemma on my mind or what I'm thinking on at the time, so it's entirely possible this is just plain coincidence.

coinsidence, we no longer ask for signs but rather trust in the word and the Holy Spirit which always agree. We know that if we sin we have an advocate with the Father and if we repent we will be forgiven.

Heh. I don't think that's in the bible. I think you are making that story up. And if you're not it's still not a big deal because it's just a coincidence. Happens all the time.

Maybe you should get out more---take in a movie now and then. Avoid indie films, though---something in the dialog may seem like a message.
