My blood use to be so thick I couldn't donate blood. They suggested a glass of red wine a night or an aspirin. The red wine wine won hands down. I no longer have a problem at the blood donors.
Wine has preserved my heart and I've never had a blood clot, not sure about my liver though?
An aspirin just wouldn't be the same as a bottle of wine every night ... maybe I have the dosage wrong?????
But hey ... to date it's been good for me!

Because red wine contains lots of antioxidants (polyphenols, flavinoids etc) that can counteract the effects of radicals. As a result, the radicals cannot cause damage to the DNA.
That's the theory behind it. Chinese tea is another good one.
I don't know about the dosing. But it is alcohol and it won't do your liver much good every night despite the low amounts.

Drinking grape juice is just as effective as red wine! And you don't have to worry about getting tipsy either. I know it is good for the stomach. Just know that you don't have to drink any alcohol unless you choose to do so.
