You have a leaking heater core. You are breathing the fumes from the anti-freeze which is unhealthy. Have the heater core replaced before you ruin your health and or the engine by running it low on coolant.
good luck

The real question is, is the wetness antifreeze, or water?
If the heater core is at fault, the wetness will be antifreeze and will smell like antifreeze, not water. And it will also not be clear, like water.
Water would indicate a plugged drain for the A/C evaporator which is not as big of a problem as a leaky heater core. This problem could also be accompanied by the smell of mold, or just a rotten smell.
Soak up the moisture from the floor with a white paper towel and see if it is green or red, instead of clear. Try to soak it out of an area that is not covered with dirt so you can see what color it is. Red or green would indicate coolant, depending on which type is in the radiator now.

My question is when was the last time you check your coolant in your cooling system, because you said your floor board is soaking wet ,then you should have a low level of coolant on your system if that is the case then guaranteed you have a leak on your heater coil,,
if your coolant level is OK then you just have a plug up drain hose on your evaporator housing,,actually it is plug up right now because the coolant should pass thru there too,,

if its smoke something is burning, might have a short. steam or water vapor could be heater core or just condensation from water sitting in air ducts. check and see if drain plug is clogged; push a coat hanger through it..
