My skin gets extremely irritated, red and blotchy when I don't get enough sleep, and because of my schedule right now, I can't get 8 hours. I need some help on ways to make my skin clear and healthy again. I can't afford any expensive products, so cheap home remedies, or products from the drugstore are all I can do for now. Thank you!

The cheapest solution is the 8 glasses of water a day if not more. Hydration really plays a toll on the overall appearance of your skin.

And even though you said no expensive products, I think you should save your money for a bit and try proactiv. It really works. I only use mine once a day to cut back on money but it is really worth it. My skin is PERFECT.

Just Peachy Facial Mask

1 medium peach
1 tablespoons honey
oatmeal

Cook peach until its soft, mash with a fork, add honey and oatmeal until its a thick consistency. Apply to skin. Let sit for 10 minutes, rinse well with cool water.

The gentle exfoliation of fruit peels speeds up cell renewal, leading to healthier skin tone. The AHAs in these fruits help soften wrinkles, sun spots, age spots, blemishes and can even unclog pores

Bay Clay Facial Mask

4 tablespoons French clay

Place the bay leaves into a cup of boiled water, let cool. Strain but keep the liquid. Slowly add the bay liquid to the clay until it is a fairly thick mixture. Dab onto your skin then allow to dry for about 15 - 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Lemon juice applied regulary has proved very beneficial in reducing pimples and acne. ( i love this one) It naturally brightens skin reducess oilyness and redness vitamin c is great for rejuvinating skin

Put a few drops of Visine on red, blotchy spots. Because it constricts blood vessels, it will do for your skin what it does for your eyes.

BLOTCHY PATCHES

Apply a soothing mask for 10-15 minutes. Choose one that contains anti-inflammatory ingredients such as raspberry leaf, chamomile and calendula, which will help tone down the redness. Once you've removed the mask, use a thin layer of tinted moisturizer to even out your skin tone.

Boil chamomile in water, then put the liquid in the fridge. Wipe the cooled liquid onto the affected areas.

I also have Aveeno ultra calming for redness and it works pretty good the only thing i didnt like is that its kind of greasy and $15 Also try ST IVES CUCUMBE/ELASTIN GEL put it in the fridge i love it Good luck

cleanse, tone, and moisturize...if you can stay committed to one brand, i would. but it clears up skin like nothing else.

esthetically speaking, any redness or blotchiness is inflamation....so if you can get ahold of some kind of calming cream or treatment (for sensitive skin)....or maybe try one of those gel eye masks that you put in the fridge and then strap around your face? it's strange that your face has a physical reaction to not getting enough sleep....sleep deprivation may not be the problem. how long has it been since you washed your pillow case? are you sleeping in your makeup? maybe it's having a reaction to a product in your hair?

you say "extremely irritated" and to me, that sounds more like a surface reaction. are you on a medication and ignoring how much sun exposure you get? if it's painful or uncomfortable, and the answer is "no" to all of the above, i would see your doctor...lack of sleep just doesn't sound right.

.

Honey and pearl

A useful facial pack for acne is honey and pearl powder.

Apply a mask of it for 15 minutes. If you can keep doing it every week, your skin will become lighter and smoother.

Tea tree oil

Some medications made from natural ingredients, such as rosehip seed oil and tea tree oil, will not only help to heal scars, but also significantly work to prevent future scarring.

Plain baking soda and water mask is by far the best you can do for acne prone skin. Mix a water and baking soda in a cup until the consistancy of a thinner paste. Pat on face (do not rub) and let sit till it hardens then rinse off. This has done miracles for my sensitive acne prone skin!! Plus it's all natural! Sometimes I add a few drops of tea tree oil too.Can use without tea tree oil.Can use as a spot treatment .Will reduce redness and you will barely notice the pimples.

Tomato

Placing slices of tomato on your skin can act as an astringent to break up oil, lift away dead skin and help prevent acne. The pulp of the tomato has the strongest astringent properties.

Witch hazel and Apple cider vinegar mixed together makes a great toner helps oily skin and helps balance your ski out Great for acne

RAW EGG
Crack egg whisk and apply to skin leave for 15 to 20 minutes.Smells and feels weird but you see iand feel it working after the first use. Will help take away the greasy feel of your skin.

Aloe Vera Plant
cut off a piece and squeeze the goopy gel inside and apply to skin.It lightens and fades scars while fighting and preventing acne.Apply before bed let dry[2-3 min tops]and sleep with it on soft glowing skin in the morning.

For irritated skin try honey it seals in moisture A Natural Moisturizer

The skin’s ability to stay hydrated is an important factor in its ability to maintain softness, suppleness and elasticity. As skin ages, or as it is exposed to environmental stresses and chemical agents, it loses this ability to retain water, becomes dry and appears wrinkled. Honey is also non irritating here is a recipe for a mask

Moisture Mask
Mix 2 tablespoons honey with 2 teaspoons milk. Smooth over face and throat. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Honey Mask Recipe
The best facial mask is honey. Place a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores. Smear on honey, and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, then use cold water to close the pores. Use once a week

Try not touching ur face as much. And leave off i little bit of makeup. Because makeup sometime has some chemicals that irritate alot of peoples skin. And ur hands have this oil that causes pimples and breakouts!

I would try getting a good mud mask. You can get them just about anywhere. (Look for ones that have actual earth grown ingredients) This should help bring moisture to your face and help you look fresh.
