I don't know if castor oil is good for your hair. But, if you ingest it, you will find that it is an excellent laxative (and very harsh).

jojoba, coconut, and almond........cherry almond bark conditioner from aveda is sooooooo good. Olive Oil is good too but if you're going to use olive oil, warm it up and put it in your hair for 20 min or so and then shampoo and condition. Don't use castor oil.

Personally, I like Coconut oil. It's not as heavy (or greasy) as the others & smells great ! If I use any of the one's you've meantioned, it's olive oil, but, I use it by mixing in an equal amount of coconut oil in it & use it as a hot oil treatment only. The coconut oil itself can be used for a hot oil treatment,or, you can use a small amount & apply it to your hair while it's damp to get rid of frizz & acts like a leave-in conditioner. (only use a small amount, though & on damp hair...not dry or it will be greasy)

You can use an avacado...it is easier to put in your hair than pour oil. It says put better I think.

I believe you can get some really nice coconut oil at the body shop too.

I prefer to use jojoba oil for my hair. It doesn't have any scent, it's non-comedogenic and it washes out easily.
