Ancient science is not debunked- math, architecture, chemistry, etc. have their roots in ancient civilization. modern science has evolved from this- and some ancient theory and formulae are still used today.
I can't think of any ancient beliefs that society sees as "truth".
but then again- i live in new york city

I do not know - it is a mystery to me. I try to life by simple truth, I.E. science, philosophy and the deductions of them.
One think I'd like to ask is what does any of these 'ancient beliefs' give us that science and philosophy does not? For all I can surmise is that they make quite simple things very complex. Take the whole thing about Atlantis, it has been worked out through writings, archeology and geology that Atlantis was a civilization which was just pre the Minoan and was whipped out when a volcano exploded on the island. So why add all the total rubbish around it? What value does it add?
The same is true of the rest too including all the major religions.

Divine wisdom works the opposite way!
We knew God from the begining and became
more and more proud, more and more shallow!
Jesus "dropped in" to give mankind new hope
of not losing that connection we have with God.
Mankind is rebellious and the few who turn from
rebellion will be rewarded!
That is life's lesson and principle!

Most people don't have a clue. They don't want to think about it and confuse God with going along with the pack. Sorry! Don't think that someone that thinks that they have have God's home phone number in their back pocket has any more influence in heaven than someone who talks to God daily in their own thoughts. God's house is in His creation.outdoors.not in a stained glass monstrosity!

Thats easy: science can be tested and verified, whereas God cannot. This is why ancient science doesnt past muster, while anceitn faiths still do...

If you'll read scholarly journals instead of Wikipedia, you will learn that the opposite is true.

This is spin-doctor science. Are you confusing 'faith' with 'popular beliefs'?
