Ok....first she is a puppy, and depending on what kind of dog it is for the size, the smaller dog needs to go a bit more frequently because they cannot hold that much. One thing you can start to do is, put the dog's leash and collar on her. You can slip the leash through the belt loop of your jeans or whatever just so you are keeping her with you at all times throughout the day. Start about every 15 minutes taking her out and to one specific area. Stay out with her only about 2 minutes; any longer than this, and she really won't know why she's out there. If she doesn't do anything, take her back in. Wait about another 20 mins or so, and do it again. When you go out with her, you can say "potty" or some key word. Remember stay out with her for only about 2 mins. As soon as she goes, praise her big time. Try not to get frustrated with her during this time; she will pick up on that energy and react to it. This may take her sometime to learn, but once she does she'll be good to go. Literally, :)

1st If the crate isn't working you need to get some cardboard and put it in the crate also until she stops going to the restroom inside only give her enough room in the crate that she can stand up and turn around.

2nd when she does it around the house don't yell at her or change your tone of voice because she will think she has already disappointed you and she might as well keep on doing it. Always praise her when she does go potty outside and make it fun for her.

Hope this helps and Good Luck!

It's very tiresome, but you need to be persistant. Spread newspaper on the floor, near the door. Take him outside often. In between place him on the paper if it looks like he is squating.Eventually, he'll get the idea.
