i tried putting down paper towels with seeds on them in each room in the house and i checked the living room and there were no seeds left on the paper towel. but i still cant find him!! please help me!!!! thank you sooooo much!!

right if he is in the front room then he will probably be under the sofa or t.v or something. so close all doors and lay seeds on the paper towel again and wait for half an hour if he still doesnt appear than he has probably went into another room leave his cage open where he has appeared and then he should go back in!

an open cage is a good idea , when mine got loose I would put out a container with slick sides and have a little ladder leading up to it they climb in for some seeds and can't get back out. I had the small kind and they always got out only to come back to some warm place. You can take a blanket and lay it in a mound on the floor with some seeds hidden within I bet you'll find it sleeping under the blanket later in the day, also leave all the lights on.

Leave the cage open near some seeds and he will probably go back in his cage.

That's a good idea about the slick-sided container. Also, don't forget to leave water out. He will die of thirst before he does hunger.
