OK,i am stupid and I deserve nothing more than Hell, but why does God force us to love Him?Its like-''Obey me,or you are going to suffer in Hell''.If I was God I would create a place for those who dont want me,but it will be a place where you are alone with others like you and you dont enjoy anything.Like a room where you are stuck with people and you cant get out,but without the fire punishments, etc. But this will be for those who only reject me,but are good people. For those who are really
evil and that are scum I would create place where they will suffer. So why are we forced to like Him?

God gave us free will so we can chose to love Him - he doesn't force us. If we don't have a choice, it's not really love.

That has a lot to with points people make about christianity. It's supposed to be about love and acceptance (and some of it is, don't get me wrong), but it seems to be strange that god would be so jealous and angry as he is presented. Its like if you don't believe in me and worship me then you're going to burn forever. I don't think anyone that lives a decent life (with or without a religion) would deserve to be punished. That is why I think it was written by man as a form of control, not something that a god would tell someone to actually write.

You may have the choice not to worship him, but when you don't worship him, then you go to hell. So I guess if you believe the bible was written by god, then yes you would be forced to like, accept, and worship him if you didn't want to go to hell.

See I don't see this question as making you stupid, it actually makes a good point. These are the kinds of things that a lot of christians are afraid to ask, but should be and I like that. You shouldn't be afraid of 'hell' for asking a good question. There are so many things that need to be taken into question that are not. Seriously, don't be afraid to ask questions, especially about something you are following.

I think you have missed the point entirely. Life is a gift. Death is a punishment. Those who insist upon disobeying God do not get the gift of life. Do you see? God gave life to Adam and Eve with one rule: leave a particular tree alone. They ignored him. The implications were profound. They could not obey in this little tiny thing. Although they had plenty to eat and everything else they could want. Eve decided she wanted to be "like God" – something to which she was not entitled. Adam loved his wife more than he loved his God so he threw in his lot with her. Some find that romantic, I suppose. It isn't. It's death-dealing. If everlasting life is contingent upon obedience to the Creator who gave us life in the first place, who are we – the creation – to question that?

Do you love God? Maybe, maybe not. Sounds like you don't. Your choice. Just like Adam and Eve. He did not force them to obey. But had they loved him above all else, they would have. The angels that disobeyed God and made themselves demons - do they love him? Obviously, not. So they were not forced, were they? The truth is nobody is forced to love anybody else and that includes God.

I love God. But not because he forced me. Because he is a wonderful person and deserving of it.

P.S. Nobody suffers in hell. If that were so, then Jesus suffered for Acts 2:31 plainly states that Hell is where he went. He didn't mention anything about pain and fire upon his resurrection.

I hope this helps you and makes you feel better. You don't have to love God if you don't want to. And God does not torment anybody with hellfire.

We are not forced to love God. He gave us free will and it is your decision to love Him or not. Yes if you don't love and obey God he will send you to hell.

Hell is basically what you explained you would make if you were God.

Matthew 18:2-3
2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

You cannot have sin to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. You can repent of your sins and God will forgive you of your sins. And He will throw away and forget your sins.

Acts 3:19
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

God is not forcing you to love Him. He's like us, won't force ourselves to people who doesn't like us. There's no "obey me or burn" in the Bible. Hell is actually for satan, his angels and false prophets but of course after watching His only Son Jesus gave His life for you, dying humiliatedly on the cross, and you still reject Him for what He has done, of course any Father would be hurt. God provided a way for you so take it. Accepting Jesus is not that hard. If you could like a person who shares a seat with you on the bus, why can't you like Jesus who take your place on the calvary? There's no low, med or high about sin. Sin is sin and it deserves a just punishment.

Isaiah 55 God says "My ways are not your ways nor my thoughts your thoughts"
God is above us!
He has made a way for us to pass from death to life- through Jesus Christ! When we believe with our heart and confess with our mouth He is lord! (Romans 10)
God IS just and fair in all He does. He is God! And He is Good!
You cannot sit back and think about what you would do if you were God, Romans 9 says "who are we to answer back to God?" And that is RIGHT! God is God and knows FAR more and BETTER than we do. He has a plan, and is in control and what He does IS RIGHT. Proverbs 3:5-6 says "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will make your paths straight"

Btw-- God does not make us love Him- AND how sad to even see that remark! I cannot imagine NOT loving Him! Look at what HE has done on the cross! THAT IS LOVE!
1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.
-Amen!

Mating signal?

Giggity.

Uhh what was the question? Oh.. How do you know God forces you to love Him or anyone? What compels you to try to love something so, is it God him/her/itself telling you, or are you just reading it out of a book?

If a God created us all, that God apparently gave us the capability to reason and make decisions. Therefore, you should make your own choice to not suffer and choose whom to love, whatever makes you happy.

Your perspective is really off.

God never forces anyone to love him. While there may have been "people" or media or something or someone to give you that ridiculous impression that "if you don't love me your going to hell", it is most certainly not from true Christians and the bible.

If you only knew the depth and power of His love, you would do nothing less than to choose all by yourself to love Him. Problem is, is that you dont' know Him. You may think you know about Him, but your verbal expression of your perspective already displays that you don't know and understand Him and His plan for you.

Fire is figurative, they will be burning with the desire for some speck of God to light their world. If you have ever experienced the lose of a loved one then you know that feeling, just imagine how it will feel with absolutely no good in the world. God does not force us to love him, why should he? Why would he want to, do you value forced love? You don't even have to love him or be perfect, you just have to be willing.

God created us with the capacity to choose whether or not we would love Him. It's called free will. We can also choose whether we are going to worship Him as God or if we are going to worship ourselves as god by deciding for ourselves what is right and what is wrong (what's sin and what isn't), no different than what Adam and Eve did.

I find it interesting that you think you have a better plan of doing things than God has. By doing so, you're indicting God and setting yourself up as being more moral the He is. Interesting.

The Life of Man—To Know and Love God (from the Catechism Of The Catholic Church):

CCC 1 - God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. For this reason, at every time and in every place, God draws close to man. He calls man to seek him, to know him, to love him with all his strength. He calls together all men, scattered and divided by sin, into the unity of his family, the Church. To accomplish this, when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son as Redeemer and Savior. In his Son and through him, he invites men to become, in the Holy Spirit, his adopted children and thus heirs of his blessed life.

CCC 2 - So that this call should resound throughout the world, Christ sent forth the apostles he had chosen, commissioning them to proclaim the gospel: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age." Strengthened by this mission, the apostles "went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that attended it."
