My son loves wearing his shoes. As long as they're clean, he can wear them whenever he wants. He even wanted to wear them to bed the other night. I pick my battles when it comes to things like that - if it's not hurting anyone, why not?

There are times I have to beg my girls (17 and 13 ) to put shoes on. But they get it honestly. First thing I do when I walk in the door at home is take the shoes off.

But don't worry some don't like either cool floors or how it feels to walk around with out shoes. It isn't a big deal.

I have three stepchildren. Two boys and a girl. The girl takes her shoes off as soon as she gets in the door so does the youngest boy. The oldest is just like his daddy he leaves them on until bedtime or bathtime.

I'm like that and I'm forty! My son is nine though and the minute he comes home from school he takes off everything but his underpants! I'm trying to make him stop that but he won't. We live in a warm climate all year round so he is more comfortable for him. Not so comfortable for me. So I've told him to wear at least shorts! Still doesn't always happen. He's always hated clothing.

We do not wear shoes in the house. You could track so many bad things onto your floors. Your son should wear slippers in the house or have a special pair of shoes to wear only in the house. Think about what your shoes touch daily. Pesticides, gasoline, public bathroom floors. Then you track those things onto your floors at home.

Oh lord my kids are 6 and 7 and they cant keep their shoes on. The minute we walk into the house they take them off, when we are in the car(if they are sandals) they take them off. And forget about wearing them outside. Of course I am the same way.

My daughter is 2 1/2 and takes her shoes off the second she arrives at anyone's house. We all take off our shoes.

My son hates shoes. They are usually off before he hits the door. Sounds like your son might have very sensitive feet.

I'm in my early 30s and hate wearing shoes...if you are worried, buy him a pair of slippers...that way he won't have his shoes on all day but he will still have something on his feet
