I have dog sat for two corgi's (different owners) and each one were exact opposites. One was very friendly and easy to watch and the other was on edge a lot and barked a lot. It would nip people often. They both shed a lot and had very deep, loud barks. One was obedient and the other was very stubborn. They could both hold their urine around 10 to 12 hrs at a time. One was a chronic poop eater and the other wasn't.
My uncle who lives in a Big city got two corgi's and had the same experience. One was very warm and friendly while the other was cold and nippy. They make good shepherd dogs on farms.

A dog's characteristics not only depend on the breed but also the owner. I've never owned a corgi, but there are lots of references out there for common breed characteristics. Like this one:

i have a corgi mix, they are great dogs, but natural heelers. so they will herd things and nip heels, so if you get a corgi, make sure it has some kind of job to fulfill her need to work.

We had one at the rescue I volunteer with. Very cheerful guy, although he had a back problem (common in the breed, along with Dachshunds). It didn't help that he was obese, which caused even more joint problems. Once he was given his pain meds, he was right back to himself though. Great dog.

Just have to keep them at a healthy weight! (Which sadly, not many owners seem to do, I saw one just yesterday, literally wobbling because he was obese. I felt bad for the guy).

I don't have one but my neighbor does and he barks A LOT and is very aggressive towards other dogs in the neighborhood. He is always growling and snapping at people as they walk their dogs.

This may just be the way he is but I am not a fan.
