If the Catholic Church is wrong, then all of Christianity is wrong, and Jesus Christ was a hoax, and all Christians were the victims of the greatest frauds in the history of mankind.

The best evidence about what God requires is in the four gospels, the biographies of Jesus in the New Testament. Catholics and Protestants read the same four books. Here's what Jesus taught, according to the gospels:

We must be baptized (Mark 16:16; John 3:5).

We must believe Christ and put faith in him (Luke 7:50, 8:12; John 3:14-16, 36; 5:24, 34; 6:40, 47; 10:9; 11:25-26; 14:6; 17:3).

We must renounce our worldly lives (Matt 5:3, 10; 10:39; 16:25; 19:23; Mark 8:35; 10:21; Luke 9:24; 17:33; 18:22; John 12:25).

We must repent of sin (Matt 3:2; 4:17; 18:8-9; Mark 9:42-48).

We must obey God and do works of charity and justice (Matt 5:20; 7:21; 19:17; Mark 10:17-18; Luke 10:25-28; John 12:50).

We must adopt the humility of a child (Matt 18:3-4; 19:14).

We must eat the bread of life--the body and blood of Jesus (John 6:51, 53-54).

We must endure to the end (Matt 10:22, 24:13; Mark 13:13, Luke 21:16-18).

The words are there for all to read. Anyone who disregards them can expect to be told to depart with the cursed, whether Catholic or Protestant. Note that a profession of faith in Jesus as your personal savior is not going to cut it.

Cheers,
Bruce

I have placed my trust in Christ, and I leave the right and wrong up to Him. If I get to the end of the road and find out I have gone the wrong way, then I will count my life well-lived and lived in good faith and with honor. I will still have given food to the hungry. I will still have comforted the sorrowing. I will have shared what I have with those who have less. I will have loved my family, cared about the environment, and done the best I can to leave the world better than I found it. If God does not approve of that, then I will accept my "wrongness" and its consequences with a light heart. I'd rather be wrong if "right" does not include any of the things I do that are motivated by my faith.

I guess what you are saying is that we will be judged for promoting a false church, very sneaky way to put your bias against the church in this way,I have no fear at all of this as I belong to the one true church founded on the Apostles,I would be more concerned about the state of my soul before God and perhaps you should also.

If I die and am judged, then that is all that being Catholic means.

Only the Father knows whose name is written in the Book of Life. If it is the wisdom of GOD to damn me, then my love and trust in him accepts my punishment. If it is to bless me, then I am thankful for his GRACE.

What if, what if, what if.

Christ is my Redeemer; Christ is my Judge; Christ is my Lord. I will commend my spirit into His hands. If He tells me I've been wrong, there remain no more "what ifs". Fiat.

God didn't create religion, so yeah we'll all be "wrong" if we get to God's throne and say "I'm religious." God will say "And that counts for what...?" It's a *relationship* with Christ, that is what Jehovah God is looking for.
