Has anyone seen the video, or read the book of "The Secret"?
I myself am a true believer of positive thinking and the good it can bring. What is your own opinions of this? Has it brought good things to your lives?

LOL at the "supersticious magical thinking" reference.
Obviously a christian. no offense and sorry to all of the lovely kind christians out there who dont force their beliefs on other people.
At the end of the day guys.. what downside can positive thinking have? It can bring quite a good shine on your lives.
at the end of the day its not just what you do its how you look at it and if youlook at it positively and happily then your sure to make other peoples' days too! :D.
No supersticious magical thinking involved.

Yes , Yes , It's the Law of Attraction this teaching has been around since late 1890's Thomas Troward''s writings which Earnest Holmes and many others gleamed onto in the 1920's and 1930's I am a Science of Mind , believer which if you liked the Secret , pick up Science of Mind and it is a wonder full path to expand whatever current faith you may have .

I first saw "the Secret" on Oprah like most people. I then read the book. I think it's really great to focus on the positive and I KNOW when I do, I notice more positive things in people and situations. BUT when it comes down to it, all of the GREAT things in my life that I really WANTED I handled that way, BEFORE I read that book OR knew I was doing it.
The book hasn't brought good things into my life, God has. My hard work probably didn't hurt either ;)

It spits in the face of every poor child who dies of curable diseases or hunger, who does nothing but wish all day for SOMETHING to help them.
It's singly the worst thing I've ever seen anyone put out there.

HORRRRRRRRRRRRIBLE message to send out to people.
Now don't get me wrong. People should be positive about life and what they want to get out of it. It certainly can't do any harm. However, it is also saying, for example, that if you got raped, then that is your fault because of the way you are thinking.
