I wouldn't get too deep unless you are very close with your boss. You can just say "it's been so great working with you. Have a great day!" I fogot about boss's day today. I just went into my boss's office and told him i'd bake him some cookies if he'd let me go home for awhile. He didn't see that as necessary. LOL At least he has a good sense of humor.

Boss's day, yet another meaningless bit of BS to flog some product.

I'd have an office wide boycott of card buying and suggest you buy the boss a joint present he or she might like, eg: a whip if they are a slave driver or a bottle of their favourite booze etc if they are half decent.

They would appreciate it far more than disengenious cards from their subordinates.

Katie -

If you've got a great boss who treats you well, then tell them that you 'appreciate them for the way they treat you and for being .a great boss'.

If you've got a boss who's not so great, just wish them a 'Happy Boss's Day'.

If you don't know your boss very well, "Happy Boss's Day!"

If you do know your boss well and have a good relationship include something like "Happy Boss's Day,(Name)"
"Working with you and for you is a pleasure!"
Or, words to that effect.

Is she a good boss? Thank them for all they've done to support you in developing your professional goals. Give a word of encouragement if they've had hard times supervising tough employees.

How about something like "in appreciation for your continued support", or just "have a great day". Just an okay boss deserves just an ok card.

Have everyone you work with sign the card so you don't look like a brown-noser to her and your co-workers.
