Click the link in the violation notice.
If they turn that down you can then appeal in the Voilations Forum - from link at top right - then the Appeal a Violation link
You need to do things in this order as the Violation forum states - "You may post an appeal on your deletion or termination here only if you have already appealed through the link in the violation email and have been rejected. If your appeal was rejected, and still feel your question or answer was not in violation, you can post one more appeal on this board. Posts that have not gone through the appeals link in the email will be removed."

I appealed the violation I received and was awarded my points. I would advise appealing if you are fairly sure that you haven't violated the guidelines as it will diminish the reporters creditability and hopefully help prevent them from reporting others. If your question or answer did violate the guidelines, then appealing is a waste of time.
There should be an appeal notice link near the bottom of your notice.

I suggest you don't......they just take another 10 points and deny your appeal.......but if you really want to in the violation email there is a link that says appeal decision.

Well, the Geek way to do it is to write a petition to the given address and the freak way to do it is, don't give a rat's backside, get another address and violate the guidelines all over again!

ive appealed twice and the violations were thrown aside
but it might take some time for them to reply

Send an objection. Do not expect a response, but at least your objection will be on file.

Don't bother. Nothing will ever be done and you'll only get a form letter back. They don't read them.
