Dogma is like trans-fat for the mind. Any is too much.

I guess if you feel comforted by having your life be very rigid and structured, then the more dogma the better. You will know that you have enough dogma if you can finally relax a little within the structure of the rules and regulations placed on your life.

You know you have enough dogma in your life....when your guilt level reaches a point that you can no longer bear it without an invisible friend.

it's a personal choice. some people like having all the answers given to them. they don't want to make all the little decisions in life, and want to find a belief system that tells them how to live their daily lives, how to think, dress, eat, etc.
other people love the adventure of making their own way in the world, discovering what makes them happy, what works for them, and making their own decisions about how to live.
one has to decide where on the spectrum one falls.
