Unicorns, leprechauns and even the easter bunny have not affected/changed billions of lives. They do not have the power to forgive sins, break addictions, perform miracles, etc.....personally faith is a result of empiricism...after observing the various forms of evidence I decided that faith is more powerful, important, and useful to me than reason or empiricism.
I do not feel that everyone must pray or live as I do. I feel that people could benefit from what I know, but that doesn't mean they need to get in line and follow the same prayer patterns as others. We shouldn't all be robots. God just wants to talk to you whether you sound like a buffoon, or a poet.

This nation has been at the mercy of Almighty God for a long time.
I haven't given up on reason. I have more reason to believe today than I have ever had before. Thousands of years ago a prophet of the Holy Bible said that Israel would be gathered by God back to their land and become a nation again in one day and it happened in 1948. The Bible said they'd speak their old language and Hebrew is their language today. The Jews, my friend, the Jews makes me know the Word of God, the Holy Bible is right.
Why do I know Jesus lives and the Holy Spirit abides within me, because He talks with me. Yes, an audible voice and exactly as the Bible states, He said, "My sheep hear my voice." There is nothing to compare with being in God's presence. There is nothing to compare with hearing God's voice. You talk about wanting something. You hunger and thirst to hear from Him again. Once you've heard His voice, you are longing for the next Word. The Holy Spirit continually teaches you all things of the Lord. The Holy Spirit brings to remembrance whatever you've read in the Word of God, the Holy Bible. It is always there when you need it for witnessing.
I'm very sorry that you don't believe in the Lord. Without Christ we miss contentment and peace which is desperately needed in the world today.

What are you talking about? How do Christians sacrifice the nation because we have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ? You don't make sense. As a Christians I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins, and that He was buried and took my sins away and He rose again the third day for my justification. Is it not better to have something to believe in than not to have anything at all. Is it not better to know where you are going when you die? How do you have any peace at all thinking that when you die you just go to the grave like a dog. Hebrews 11: 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Once there were two blind men. The first man heard once a voice of a man saying that he will lead him through his life so that he would never stumble. After a while the second blind man asked the first how come he never stumbles. He answered him that he believes the voice he hears and that up to now he hasn't let him down.
How can you be certain that that voice knows where you should go? asked the second blind man.
Because of the way he has led me in the past.
There is no other reason. We have heard a voice and decided to fallow it. Up to now that voice was right in everything it said. Those times we decided to act by ourselves we stumbled. A blind man can't lead a blind man so we asked for help and it came.

I can honestly say that I do not know everything when it comes to the Bible or to God. I am still learning everyday. I don't believe that everyone "must pray the way I do". Everyone is different and unique and how they pray is up to them and not for me to say how they should pray. I do teach my girls that you are to show respect for people, treat others the way you want to be treated and for them to not judge a book by it's cover when making new friends or meeting someone for the first time. I really don't see anything wrong with the way I think, feel or believe.

I do not believe my way is the right way for everyone. I am not even sure it is the right way according to God. But in the absence of infinite knowledgeof life, the universe, and everything, I am happy to have faith that God will forgive me if I have a few minor glitches. I figure he knows my heart and that will count more than if I say enough hail mary's of eat fish on Friday, or pray facing the north or any of the other thousands of things people of different religions do.

do you plan for tomorrow? why? do you have faith that you will live to see tomorrow, to make your plans and goals and dreams a reality? you can no more prove to me right now that you will take a breath tomorrow....as I can prove to you that when I die I will be greeted by Jesus, but I still plan on it nonetheless.
I do not want to "debate" the existence of God but if you knew me and wanted to know why I am so joyful and content I can give you an answer and that answer is Jesus.
I do not plan on "sacrificing the nations to its whims", i do not want anyone to pray the way i do or to believe the way i do by any kind of force. I have friends that are Muslim and atheist and many other backgrounds and would not want their rights infringed upon any more than I would want mine infringed on. i vote for politicians that sometimes are completely against some of my beliefs because they are the better candidate...i do not blindly trust a candidate because of what his mouth says is in his heart....i do not like religious leaders to be talking in politicians ears for policy....the bible says to pray for our leaders not to be their puppet-master. I do however believe in standing up for what is right....child-abuse laws, feeding and caring for the mentally ill, equal rights for all minorities and persons....I believe you may think all Christians are a part of the christian right...which is wrong. I do not judge the way others live but if that other person is hurting and damaging others then I believe in stepping in to protect the weaker. That is what Jesus taught and is morally right but not exclusively christian. God Bless...and I pray you have many more tomorrows!!

I am a Christian and I can't prove that God exists - it is simply impossible. Therefore, I must have faith. I don't expect anyone who doesn't believe to accept this rationale because it does imply a suspension of belief. I am a firm supporter of the Constitution of the United States and it clearly says that there is to be a separation of Church and State. My beliefs play a role in how I vote but I don't want my beliefs forced on anyone else, so I don't understand your statement of sacrificing the nation.
Here's how I look at the proof issue. I can't prove to you that God exists and I don't believe that you can prove to me that he doesn't exist. You are welcome to regard me as a deluded individual but I will continue to respect your right to believe in what you will.

Even if Jesus never returned to take us to Heaven, I'd rather live by the principles of God's word than any other way. It is truly the path of happiness. And if He doesn't come to take us home then I still had a good life and if He does come back I have gained everything. But if you ignore God's law and His grace and He does come back...you have lost all that God promises in His word and you are dead for eternity.

11And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. 12That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.
13What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.
